I am not one to take the time to write reviews but I thought this coffee was worth the time to share. I usually only drink high end coffee from a local coffee shop that roast fresh beans daily and I have to say this is pretty close to as good for about 1/3 the price.

It’s been my go to beans for French Press then pourover. When I ran out of beans for Rancilio espresso machine, I used them and was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness either as a straight espresso or Americano. Maybe not as good for milk based drinks (Prefer Stumptown Hairbender), but I think I like it better than Stumptown as espresso or Americano. I know coffee snobs will scoff at this, but give it a try. I can’t get my usual 20-21 grams in portafilter though. More like 18-19g.

I did a side-by-side comparison w/ these beans (Major D blend). I had my freshly roasted beans sent from Peet’s to my doorstep and my sister’s store-bought beans in a 2 lb bag. I love Peet’s subscriptions. Sadly, I couldn’t convince her to switch to ordering fresh beans. The Major D beans that I ordered made coffee that was either kind of bitter or sour, depending on how we ground them. We tried several times over several days using a very good grinder & a good drip machine. We tried lots of settings.The Major D beans from the store seemed less fussy, easier to work with … and they tasted fine. The coffee we made using fresh beans wasn’t good until it cooled down. Then it was smooth, very nuanced, flavorful. Sorry Peet’s. I’m still trying to find a grind level / water amount that works.

I was so thrilled to finally find Peet?s on the shelf at our club store. Despite all of the excellent reviews, it has been pulled. Such a shame, especially since the savings were significant. This has happened frequently, love a product only to find it pulled from the shelves. Now that we?re empty nesters I?m considering cancelling the membership, no use paying for membership when the products I like keep getting discontinued.

I am, at this very moment, drinking my very first cup of Peet's Coffee (Major Dickason's Blend). Whole bean, 8:1, French press, 203° F,1 minute bloom, 4 minutes total, black. You would think with all the fuss of a Japanese tea ceremony, I would pick out the right coffee. Well until this morning, I had not (Starbucks Pike Place, French Roast, others) . Now I have. It's Fraiser Crane at Café Nervosa. Please accept my apology for waiting too long to switch. I'll make it up to us somehow. ☕

We love this coffee! Once Sam’s stopped carrying it in the store I started shopping around (to include Sam’s house coffees) and haven’t been able to find another coffee we like. I like being able to just pick up coffee at the store when I’m running low, but I just bit the bullet and ordered in line, we’ll see how quickly it gets here! Sam’s, please put this back on the shelf in the store!

We have been loyal customers for years. Love your coffee. We are on a fixed income and are always looking to save money. Today my wife was looking on Amazon prime and found they were much cheeper than ordering directly from Peets plus the shipping is free and free next day delivery. Hopefully the freshness won't suffer too much.

Reformed coffee snob who still loves a great cup of coffee. This is by far my favorite blend of coffee. The coffee roasts up nice and dark with a bold flavor and no bitter taste. There should be two coffees in the world this and anything else to remind you why you found Peet's Coffee in the first place. I've ordered a few bags and never had a bad roast. The K-Cups version roasts up just a bit lighter than this does with minimal beans. Brew on folks.

Ever since my first taste of Major Dickason’s blend, I’ve been hooked, no other coffee can hold a candle to this blend. The look, the smell, and the taste are so good, you will NEVER want to drink anything else. I manually grind my own beans, and totally enjoy smelling the smells as the beans are grinding. Go ahead and treat yourself to the best coffee ever!

The perfect roast for a robust and flavorful cuppa! I roasted my own coffee beans for many years, a process that I had to do outside because our smoke alarms in the house would go off every time. However, roasting beans outside in the cold winter months is quite the challenge, so my results were never consistent. Then I read that someone else had the same issues as me, had discovered Major Dickason’s Blend, and had tossed all of their coffee roasting gear – because they couldn’t improve upon Peet’s results. So I tried Major Dickason’s Blend… and it was the same for me. Fantastic coffee!
