I am 75 years old and have been drinking coffee for 55 of those years. I learned to drink it black in the Navy and still prefer it that way today. I started drinking Peet's Major Dickason's Blend in 2001 and have enjoyed a couple of cups every morning since. Keep up the good work. We live on the California coast about 90 miles south of the Oregon border. I wish we had a coffee shop nearby so I could pop in and grab a latte once in a while.

I just started buying these beans and now they have a different taste, they taste awful!!! This really sucks bc I just discovered Peets. The last bag of beans were shiney compared to the previous bags....they are using cheaper beans or doing something weird to the beans...they dont taste the same...then I found out, Peets was bought out by private equity firm, like Paneras Bread...its gone to crap.

I have been drinking MAJ Dickenson's espresso grind for over 25 years. During the past six years, I have been using the subscription service to ship me thrée lbs to Afghanistan and continued once I came home. The espresso grind is perfect for a single cup pour over. Every cup fresh, dark but not "burnt" like a other brands french roast. Best ever!

Ever since my first taste of Major Dickason's blend, I've been hooked, no other coffee can hold a candle to this blend. The look, the smell, and the taste are so good, you will NEVER want to drink anything else. I manually grind my own beans, and totally enjoy smelling the smells as the beans are grinding. Go ahead and treat yourself to the best coffee ever!

Love this coffee but I mix it 50/50 with the Cafe Domingo and I get a coffee that has the perfect flavor for my taste. No matter what brewing method I use it just seems to taste perfect. I am not a coffee snob and could not tell you a top notch bean from an inferior one but I just am very picky about coffee tasting a certain way for me to enjoy drinking it. I have found with many experimentations that this particular mix works beautifully. I serve it to guests in a percolator and it goes over extremely well and they always want a second cup and I am asked what it is. either way, this is a great coffee and I have been drinking it for many years.

Major Dickinson's has been my favorite coffee for my lattes for over a decade now. The last several months the flavor has been off. It is not as bold, complex, and full bodied tasting. It is flatter tasting. That wonderful flavor is just gone! I bought several new bags, hoping it was a fluke. It wasn't. I even pulled out an older, recently expired bag out if my cabinet that I had forgotten about. The older bag tasted like the Major Dickinson's that I know and love, and drink every morning. With the older bag finished now, I no longer look forward to my latte(s) in the morning. Now I'm searching for new coffee beans. : (

I used to love Major Dickason but the last couple bags I bought tasted really bad. They've changed it. One tasted burnt, the other two just tasted off. Not the smooth, rich, deep flavors it used to have. Also, I noticed that the grinds are now much finer. Not please that Peet's has raised prices twice, while now offering an inferior and unenjoyable product. I might give it one more try before switching to another brand and producer entirely. I don't trust Peet's anymore. RIP Major Dickason - you always made me look forward to getting out of bed and starting my day with an amazing, flavorful, smooth, rich cup of coffee.

We've been enjoying this blend for years and it has never let us down. It is versatile and tastes great served in a variety of ways. We occasionally veer off course to try some other blends or single source or regional coffees, which is fun and keeps things alive, but we always come back to this reliable and delicious blend. In our book, this is second only to our beloved Holiday Blend.

Full body dark roast coffee! Excellent!!!!!
