I could not get the battery connection fully seated through the small access panel. Had to remove the entire rear cover to get enough leverage. Filled it with gas and tried to start it with the electric starter. It just buzzed. Started with rope on the 2nd pull. Let it run for an hour while running a fan. Shut it down and tried the button. Fired right up! The supplied battery didn't have enough charge to engage the starter. Hooked up a propane bottle and connected it to the house. Took two start attempts to purge the propane and get it running. Ran it .3 hours with a 1.2kw load. Burned about 2 gallons of propane.

Originally bought an IGEN4500, but it soon developed a problem of using oil to the tune of shutting the unit off after 20 hrs run time. Westinghouse led me to a repair shop where they diagnosed the issue. Westinghouse sent me a new generator due to the fact the engine wasn't any good on the other.

I bought this a while back for emergencies. Didn't open it up right away so that was my fault so battery died so I had to jump it so it would start. The problem is I had difficulty starting it with the pull string which sort of defeats the purpose. But once I got it started it worked like a charm

We've been looking at generators for a while and the Westinghouse has by far had the highest rated reviews. This was easy to set up, it is extremely quiet. The manual is easy to understand. No problems switching from gasoline to propane. Remote start works great. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this generator in early November and everything so far , from arrival condition to unboxing to set up has been flawless. The set up instructions were easy to follow and the quick start guide allowed me to start the generator both on electric start and pull start on the very first time. Everything looks sharp and it is well constructed. I could not be happier with this unit.

Very pleased with ease of use and performance. Bought this unit and wouldn't you know power outage a few days later. Activate hero mode 😋. I set the unit up a few days prior. Easy instructions and simple setup. Getting the battery connected was challenging only due to the tight space and my large hands. I really appreciate the little accessories/toolkit and the compartments that they go inside. Nothing like having little odds and ends that need to be kept track of — not with this. There's a place for everything with the exception of the propane regulator. That's understandable though. It's large and given that I intend to exclusively use propane, not a big deal for me. Break in and operation was stupid simple. The unit started up easily the first time and has every time since then. I really have no complaints. Thus far the unit is solid and I appreciate the little things that were considered when designing it.

Purchased this generator because of electric start and more power available for my modest home power backup. Will plan to use gasoline but the dual fuel feature will be tested to be available in an emergency. Inverter generator is running quiet and fully functional immediately after unpacking. Still in the first 5 hours operation and will change oil and proceed as directed in the owner's manual.

I bought this generator for the propane and remote start features. The 4500 watts of power was perfect for my needs. I was also drawn to this generator for the quiet 52 dBa rating. However, after about 15 hours of use, with only a small A/C unit running, the generator started giving me the overload light and the A/C would no longer kick on. The generator began running rough, as if it is misfiring. Oil level is fine, air filter is clean, choke is shutting off after start, and I even changed out the spark plug. Nothing seemed to fix the problem. I'm now questioning my purchase. I really wanted to like this generator, but I worry about the quality. I will be calling for warranty support after I finish with this review.

This thing is absolutely amazing. It's quiet powerful and I just love it so much.
