Easy to use and QUIET!!!

We got this because my husband is a first responder, so during storms I am alone with the kids. Last few storms we had no power for 10 days. We wanted something that I could do and not be afraid to handle. This is very easy to operate / roll out - I can do myself. I was AMAZED at how quiet it is. My neighbors couldn't believe how quiet it was either and now plan to purchase one themselves -

Delivered as advertised

The generator was delivered as advertised. Set up was easy and very straight forward and the unit started right up. The features are great for my needs (camping/power outage) and it is quieter than I expected. Haven't had it long enough to give it a good functional test, but so far I am pleased with the purchase.

Great RV generator for propane

I bought this Westinghouse 5000W generator specifically for our travel trailer, and it has been an absolute game-changer for our camping trips. What I love most: • RV Ready: having the 30amp outlet (TT-30R) built right in means I can plug my RV directly into the unit without fussing with dog-bone adapters. • Remote Start: This is a luxury I didn't know I needed until now. Being able to start the generator from inside the camper early in the morning to make coffee—without going out into the cold—is amazing. • Power: It easily handles my 13,500 BTU air conditioner and the microwave simultaneously without bogging down. I mostly run it on propane because it burns cleaner and I don't have to worry about the carburetor getting gummed up during storage. If you own an RV, this is the one to get.

iGen5000DFc

Received iGen5000DFc and mighty impressed. Owner of other generator brands and blown away by this Westinghouse brand thus far. The lugage style handle, the roller wheels, the electric and remote start features all checked the boxes for me. The quietness of the generator itself excelled all expectations!

Very good first impression

After much review and investigation, I decided that the Westinghouse brand was the best option for me. Also, the 5KW dual fuel was important. I plan on using it both with our Casita trailer and as a back up power source at our home. After unboxing it, the directions were clear once you get past all the "safety" language. I have two suggestions for the manufacturer: 1. I live in Texas; we use imperial numbers. If you are going to print measurements with the metric system (ie. oil needed is 0.6 L) add the imperial number in ounces as well. Had the oil that came with it not had 0.6L on the bottle, I would have had no idea of how much oil to add without going to the internet for a conversion. 2. Extend the throat for the oil reservoir so that it is closer to the side of the unit. Even with the provided funnel, it was hard not to get oil both inside the housing and on the floor. Easy fix is to extend the oil throat.

Great Feature Set, Very High Value

Have about 75 hours on mine so far, and it is running great. I've run on both propane and gasoline, and gen starts and runs easily on both. Really happy with noise levels, power output, runtime, weight, and features (remote start, battery start). Maintenance pretty easy too, especially after doing it a few times. Go ahead and compare to other models, and you'll see that this one stacks up really well in terms of features and price.

Small and Super Quiet!

I bought this a few days ago. It came with everything you need in the box, and only a few minutes to fill up with oil, connect the propane tank and battery, and hit the start button on the remote! It's incredibly quiet compared to open frame generators. You won't regret this but.

It comes with everything

From warranty info and registration paperwork to a replacement parts list and even an oil drain hose!! This thing comes with everything! So simple, so effective, and so worth the money. I won't have to worry about insufficient power anymore from my old generator. This does all I need and more.

Excellent generator

Bought this generator a few months ago. And it has been a lifesaver we lost power in the Pacific Northwest for two days in our house, and this generator came in very handy. It was very easy to set up and it started right away with no problems. I would definitely recommend this to friends..

Bought as a whole house, less the 240V loads

I could not get the battery connection fully seated through the small access panel. Had to remove the entire rear cover to get enough leverage. Filled it with gas and tried to start it with the electric starter. It just buzzed. Started with rope on the 2nd pull. Let it run for an hour while running a fan. Shut it down and tried the button. Fired right up! The supplied battery didn't have enough charge to engage the starter. Hooked up a propane bottle and connected it to the house. Took two start attempts to purge the propane and get it running. Ran it .3 hours with a 1.2kw load. Burned about 2 gallons of propane.
