Not the best tv I've purchased

i purchased the samsung tu7000 when one of my children threw a tennis ball which hit the screen of my beautiful lg. loved that tv. i needed to get a tv that day, so i rushed out and bought this one. i bought too quickly, and i must admit that the low price was attractive. now i know why it was so cheap. each time i turn it on the color is faded, so i need to reset the picture. it's annoying. at first i thought it might be a minor glitch, but it must be adjusted each time you turn it on. i thought it might need a software upgrade, but nope, it says that its up to date. i didn't do enough research on the tv; found out later that it was a 2020 model, so i screwed up. you get what you pay for. i won't buy samsung again.

Hi Rio L, Thank you for your feedback on the Samsung TU7000 TV's picture quality. Please try the following troubleshooting tips to prevent your TV from reverting to the previous picture settings. You can change the dimming feature of your TU7000 TV by adjusting some of the energy efficiency features designed to reduce power consumption. The Eco sensor automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level. If the Eco Sensor has changed the screen's brightness level, you can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. You can also disable these features for a steady brightness setting. You can adjust Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer by going to Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > and adjusting the Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting. Next, let's make sure your TV is on Home Mode. Please do so by heading to Settings>General>System Manager>Usage Mode>Enter Pin>Click "Home Mode." If these settings do not prevent your TV from changing Picture Settings, please allow us to make this right by contacting us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Unbelievable Picture Quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use our Samsung TV for streaming - after cutting the cable cord we discovered Samsung TV Plus....in addition to the amazing picture quality this free streaming feature offers tons of amazing channels, movies, and I have become a BBC Home addict as a result! Also LOVE that the remote has buttons to automatically connect to Netflix, Amazon Prime and (of course) Samsung TV plus! Very happy with the quality and the price was great! We have our TV mounted on a bracket so it's easy to watch from the kitchen or living room. When not in use we can use the Samsung TV to set a photo or imageto display on the screen when not in use. It was super easy to install! Look at the quality of the picture downloaded - the original "Nutty Professor" starring Jerry Lewis.....amazing!

Perfect TV for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We always have streaming services like, prime tv, disney + and netflix. And the tv comes with samsung tv with a lot of channels in it. The picture is so crisp we love every second when we use it. We also use it for our game consoles like switch and xbox and the quality is just amazing.

Great TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the TV, especially for the price. The connectivity to various apps as a smart TV is great, and the resolution is very clear. The only downside is that it can sometimes be a bit slow, but that could also be due to my own wifi.

Backlight went out after six months

if you want your tv to act more like a radio, this is the tv for you. after 6-7 months the backlight has gone out so i can't see anything although at least the sound still works! still waiting on being serviced under the warranty but it has been about a week and counting with no tv.

Great buy

The screen is so clear the sound is great and perfect for watching action movies too lol, it's like a theater event at home. Really worth every penny very pleased with this purchase.

Nice Tv..

i have all samsung tvs in my house. from 40-82inch. i love the product. i purchased this replace a 8 year old 42. the picture quality is very nice. the set up for everyhing was extremely easy except airplay. i spent 2 hrs trouble shooting and finally got it to work by unplugging from the wall. nowhere did i find that suggestion online. the worst part about this tv is the remote and commuicating with the apps. its super slow and delayed. its extremely frustrating. i dont really want to return a 50 inch tv, but its like using dial up internet. its a 3-4 second delay on everything. the firmware is up to date. im at a loss at the moment

To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. You may also want to clear out your TV's temporary storage space by pressing and holding the Power button for 6 seconds until your TV turns off and back on again. Love this Tv but…

Nice crisp sound software update that downloads auto so u don't have too. Best tv I've had in the last 20 yrs of buying. I'm also thinking about upgrading to a newer Samsung model 75 just to see Samsung can out do themselves lol…. They are their only competitors. They out do them self they stand alone in the television world.

NO Digital Tuner!! Why??

I have had two of these TV for 9 months. Hooked up my digital antenna today and was very disappointed that it does not have a digital tuner or any tuner for that matter. Samsung you saved a couple dollars but have disappointed a long time Samsung customer. Why include a coax connector but no tuner?

To set up your local channels, please follow these steps: 1) Make sure your Antenna or Cable box is set up, and then connect it to the TV via the ANT IN. 2) Go to Source> TV 3) Press Setting> Broadcasting> Auto Program 4) Start to begin Auto-Programming, and then select either Air, Cable, or Both 5) Your TV will begin to scan for channels. Great Picture & Lots of Apps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with the quality of this TV especially for the price. Our Roku stick decided to die but the smart apps on the TV have kept us going. The only complaint we have is that a few of the Samsung TV apps don't function properly - like on NBC shows will just stop playing. Overall, a quality TV and you would never guess that its a few years older model.
