Excellent Viewing Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I retired a decade ago and wanted a Smart TV with access to internet, when I realized my laptop computer was dying and I was concerned that I couldn't afford both a TV and a computer on my fixed income. I share my computer knowledge voluntarily with other seniors and it's easier to teach internet basics on a 50" screen. My Samsung Smart TV interacts with my S20 5G phone, so I can use the DeX app without attaching my DeX Docking Station. This is perfect for viewing items on large screen instead of a smartphone, tablet or laptop. While I see enjoy viewing my streaming apps, photos and videos; this TV has allowed me to enjoy my favorite naturescapes, music apps and YouTube videos with friends and family. I also had the pleasure of seeing my great nephew make football history at his high school online by connecting with live streams of his games. Never thought I would use a TV to attend a graduation or funeral but this TV kept me connected during the quarantine at the start of the pandemic. The picture is so large and clear it looks like the people on the news are speaking directly to you. Even old movies and TV shows look great. I used to have cable but couldn't afford it and changed to OTA antenna and internet router. The picture is even better now without cable. Thanks to SmartThings, I can turn the living room TV off from my bedroom; if I forget to turn it off beforehand. I really enjoy having this TV. It has improved my quality of life.

Set up a nightmare!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The set-up was frustrating to even the online chat person. I kept getting caught up in loops in signing up for a Samsung Account. Many of the questions were too technical for my 60 year-old brain. For two hours it didn't recognize the model of my Roger's Cable box and then et viola, it clicked in. How that happened I have no idea. I was ready to return it the next day.

The Best Set Yet

this is my second samsung tv, and although i did experience a couple of issues with the first one, this newest has been outstanding. the picture quality is exceptional and it's an absolute breeze to setup and control. i replaced a vizio (which i would never recommend) with this samsung, and it was the best decision i could have made for a new tv.

This TV has a great picture

I had this TV for about 3 years shortest life of any Samsung product I've ever owned and it just died one day. Black screen tried everything I could think of to get to work again with no luck. This is the only reason for 4 stars.

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV comes with Netflix and Amazon video pre-loaded. It was easy to set up Apple TV and program all my cable channels. Has a phenominal picture and great sound quality. Perfect for our bedroom space.

Great Quality, Easy Set-up

this replaced my 10 year old vizio and what a replacement! i loved how it can hook directly to the internet instead of wifi. i was surprised that an app helped me to set up the tv. i downloaded the smartthings app and followed the steps. it scanned all my channels, registered the tv, and got everything set up pretty quickly! the picture is fantastic. i would not think that an upgrade from 1080p would be that noticeable but it is. i was also impressed that the viewing even from angles was clear. some tv's blur as you move off of center. i am very happy-great tv for a great price!

Best picture quality of my life

My family and I go to the cinema less and stream movies because the quality is far superior. Everything is easy to navigate and setup was easy. I honestly can't recommend this TV enough, you will not be disappointed!

My favorite TV so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a review of the Samsung 55” Class 7 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV. The frame is really thin so I rarely ever notice it, I just see a beautiful picture. I truly love how easily I can airplay from my entertainment boxes, laptop and phone; it truly makes streaming with airplay a breeze. It has Samsung Tv Plus which has channels like News & Opinion, Entertainment, Crime, Game Shows, Sports, Food, Home & Travel, Reality, Latino, International, Comedy, Gaming, Kids, Science & Nature, Sci Fi & Horror, Movies, Music with hundreds of live channels all for free with your Wi-Fi. With the included remote you have access to a lot of popular apps. too, I was also able to download even more apps. The picture quality is crystal clear. The sound is pretty good alone, but we do have a sound system also. There is 2 HDMI ports which is more than enough since you can access so many apps. I have my satellite plugged into one and the other is free. I believe I have covered most everything here. I don't think you can go wrong with this television.

It looks nice in the photos

pros: - easy set up - the samsung tv guide cons: - tv picture quality - screen/smart share functionality with samsung phone is wonky and goes off at random times - not all basic apps like cnn, mtv, cbs sports, etc are available on the samsung smart tv app store - i bought a pairing soundbar which i wouldn't recommend to anyone. volume shifts on its own and it's consistent between applications... it's a bummer because i like samsung a lot and want be loyal but i may need to get a new tv and soundbar with a different brand as it's extremely disappointing to spend hard earned money on poor quality that you think will be high quality

Great Picture, but......

great picture on this tv, however! the software is awful, layout of apps on home screen are awful and i've not yet found a way to move apps or delete apps i do not want. remote is not user friendly at all, needs backlit keys. placement of small keys which often get hit by mistake and you end up somewhere you don't want to be. they are hard to find with no backlighting. also, airplay is buggy and often won't work or hangs up. resulting it many shut downs and restarts. no chromecast to download and use that i've found. chromecast is generally more reliable on my other tv's. i'd not likely recommend this tv to anyone based on the software and remote. even though it's a great picture i'd not buy another one.
