not easy to use for projecting from Mac computer

you would think that these days it would be impossibly easy to share things from a mac to a tv. not so. they have apple tv uploaded, but they don't have any software to permit screen sharing? so now i have to buy a chromecast or apple tv to do the sharing. not as "smart" as it should be.

Great clarity Poor Craftsmanship

Good tv however, the HDMI port constantly tries to read my cable box as a PC and it's very difficult to get this tv to stop reading the HDMI port as a PC when it's the cable hooked up. Multi reboots of the cable box, tv and unplugging and plugging in the cables and finally resetting the Smart Hub in the settings before it finally works. Today it took an hour and 15 min before I got to watch tv. One more time and I'm going back to LG

Screen and speaker distortion

Good picture quality until the distortion started. TV is two years old and has a vertical stripe near the center of the screen. Very annoying. Also, the speakers produce strange audio occasionally. Sounds like someone speaking through a voice changer at a slower rate. Can't recommend this TV.

Good picture bad controls and sound function

picture is good but sound controls, menus, pre loaded apps and remote are garbage. you either use tv speakers a digital connection that requires constant clicking on the volume or a bt connection you have to re connect each time you turn it on. remote is poorly laid out and menus are cumbersome. needs a software update to change these controls and sound function.

Great picture

i would give it 5 stars but the wifi and streaming of of other apps is not good. it is slow and does not advance once app is opened. the first week i had it things worked well from wifi stand point. after that have to reboot router or unplug tv to reset. i have a 2 year old element tv that is farther from the router and has no problems opening apps and playing when samsung doesnt. the main reason i bought the tv was for the "smart tv" capabilities and it is not doing a job. picture and sound are fabulous! i would give that part 10 stars if i could.

This product has grest feature

I wish there was a guide to let me know what function or programs come with the tv but I am figuring it out with my 7 year old child she is computer sabe.

Great tv to buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful tv. The picture and sound are clear and crisp. The only thing I did not like was the remote that comes with the tv, the buttons are a bit hard to press but other than that the tv is five stars all the way.

OK TV, global dimming feature ruins the experience

unlike a few other led backlit tvs, this samsung tv dims the entire areas of screen with a broader than required dimming. that makes the dark scenes a bit too dark, with the few lit areas in the screen also being dimmed. no good. next, the tv's smart meny feature sucks. i have roku for streaming, and this tv's ‘landing page' is the default one when turned on. to get rid of it, you have to press exit every single time. there is no option not to display the smart meny screen upon power on. sucks, samsung. did you get that? convey this to your software team. make the smart menu not default. people with their own streaming devices dont want to be bothered to find the tv remote every time to press exit. same foes for wifi connectivity. stop forcing customers to make the tv connect to wifi.

First, you can change the dimming feature of your TV by adjusting some of the energy efficiency features designed to reduce power consumption. To disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption, go to Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings. Next, to turn off Smart Hub, go to Settings> General> Smart Features> Disable Autorun Smart Hub. Try turning the TV off and on again, and the Smart Hub menu should be disabled, with the current Input Source banner displayed in its place. Alternatively, you can leave Smart Hub enabled and utilize the Autorun Last App feature to automatically start the last app you used once the TV is turned on.
