CANNOT CHANGE APPS

so disappointed! bought this tv because it had apple tv and other apps. they didn't say the tv apps could not be changed. there is no room on the 1 gig of memory to add anything and you cannot remove the stock apps! literally the reason i bought the tv... i would choose anything else.

Here are some things you can try: 1) Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. 2) Remove apps you no longer need. From the Home screen, go to Apps > Settings > delete your apps from here 3) Turn automatic updates on. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope these tips help. Save you time and money.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! 3rd time writing this bad review the other two were taken down. Bought this less then two months ago and now it won't turn on. It hardly worked with Alexa and Apple AirPlay. It would only bring up a blank screen when I tried to use them. Picture was decent when it worked. It comes preloaded with a cluster of just junk apps that you will never use. Not worth your hassle or time.

You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps: (1) Make sure that the AC power cord is securely plugged in to the TV and the wall outlet. (2) Make sure that the wall outlet is working and the power indicator at the bottom of the TV is lit and glowing a solid red. If it is off, the TV either does not have power, or it is on and the screen is black. If it is blinking, your TV may need service. (3) Try pressing the TV Controller button at the bottom of the TV to make sure that the problem is not with the remote control. Wireless Connection Problems

had the tv for a week without issue and was relatively happy until i started experiencing a wireless connection issue ("mac address is invalid."). my wifi connection was fine (strong on all other devices), but the tv was completely unable to detect my (or any other) wireless router as it had during setup. i tried all the troubleshooting i could find online, but it seems to be a known defect with certain units that may or may not ever go away for the life of the tv. after trying to connect again for another hour it eventually detected my router again for about two minutes before the error quickly returned, at which point i made the easy call to return it for a different brand that won't require a lucky dice roll any time i want to watch tv. obviously a very frustrating outcome.

Mounting bolts need to be longer than indicated

the set is nice. but the manual will indicat that the versa mount screws should be 20/22mm. this is not correct, and others have commented the same. when you add in the depth of the mounting plate you are using, the screws/bolts will need to be m8 25mm; otherwise, there will be no bite of the threads-guaranteed. i had called samsung tech support about this, and the agent truly had no clue. secondly, if you want to just set up your tv to start watching your cable and streaming services-not so fast....the initial set up is going to force you through a bewildering labyrinth of required steps, to compel you to set up a samsung account-which you may not want.,

Please know that the 20-22mm listed in the user manual is not the screw length. It’s the wall mount thread depth in the TV chassis. Make sure to add the wall mount bracket thickness to the thread depth for minimum screw length. Great Feature and Responsiveness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my TV for streaming movies and playing video games. I love it for both purposes. It has been excellent and I recommend the TV to anyone looking for a large screen. Pros: Great Picture Great Software Cons Screen Brightness is not relatively high enough NEEDS MORE HDMI INPUTS. It is so stupid they only give you two now.

Buyer Beware!

I bought my tv in January 2021. Mid July 2022, i came home to a black and blue screen. I've tried all of the different restart and/or hard start procedures and was successful twice but goes right back to the same re-cycle blue & black screen. I've never purchased a tv that has went out in n a little more than a year of having it!

If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections. 2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. 3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels? 4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources? 5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test) 6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. Samsung TV Always My First Choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this tv to replace my previous Samsung TV which was at least 10 years old. It was still working fine just wanted a bigger one. Samsung offers their own TV service similar to cable which I love and free of charge. Can even get it on Samsung phones now. My TV is crystal clear and has a nice set of built in speakers with nice sound and base. Only thing is it only has 2 HDMI ports and I was used to have 3 or 4 but the two will suffice. The smart features allows me access to all my streaming services so that's a plus. Overall I've never been disappointed with Samsung products.

Great 4K TV

I have been using for a week now with no issues. After reading other reviews I decided not to use the Smart functions of this TV. Instead I am using an NVIDIA Shield TV. Everything works great so far. Picture is bright, colors are vivid and HDR seems to be working great. One piece of advice I would give is make sure, if you are using an external smart device. Make sure your HDMI cable is at least HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2.

OK

samsung's app access is not user-friendly. not intuitive and not easy to access when you have numerous regularly used apps. sound is terrible (not a big deal for most like me with a home theater system anyway). brightness and especially light/dark contrast is poor. still playing with color settings, but the presets are not helpful.

KP021: I’m sorry to hear that you’re not fully satisfied with the app access and brightness of your TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness levels of your picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try the different Picture Modes or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking. Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope this helps to improve your picture. Disappointing

picture is good. software/interface is a huge disappointment. i was hoping to not have to use a box of any kind but will have to go back to apple tv. the smart hub is so bad that when you turn the tv on it will only default to their smasung channels which blasts some nonesene game shows or bad tv. i use youtube tv for programmining and have to go in and load each time which is slow. app tiles are small and hard to distinguish which app is highlighted. i have a tcl with roku tv that was cheaper, runs faster, has a much better interface with infinately more configuration, etc. really expected more from samsung. i just picture a group of design people sitting around a presentation of this “smart hub” interface and being impressed enough to approve it....wow.
