Whatever was done to the locking mechanism in the latest redesign is completely awful. They're "Easy Open" because they don't close. I use these for protein powder when I travel and maybe three out of every 5 bags never closes all the way and my powder ends up all over everything. The old snack bags were perfect, but I won't be buying these again,

I received this as a prize I won in a contest. My family loves the snack size, it is perfect for taking that snack on the go and if we do not finish it easily closes back up for later. Keeping chips, pretzels fresh and ready to go. Also great for small storage, we use them for a few crayons on the go without taking the whole crayon box with us.

I use the Ziploc snack size to store cooked chicken in the freezer for my Malteese Charlie. He can not have salt so I cook him his favorite food boiled chicken. I boil 5 pounds of chicken breast and cut it up into small pieces. I usually use 20 to 25 Ziploc snack size bags and freeze them in a larger Freezer Ziploc bag and get out only 3 bags out to thaw in the fridge. This 61 year old grandmother of 8 CAN NOT SEAL YOUR SNACK SIZE BAGS!! It irks me every time I cook Charlie's chicken! I purchased them because I thought they would be easy to close since it said EASY OPEN TABS ON THE BOX! I assumed the EASY OPEN TABS WOULD ALSO BE EASY CLOSE TABS! Not the case! PLEASE MAKE A PRODUCT THAT EVEN GRANDMOTHERS WITH ARTHRITIS IN HER HANDS CAN OPEN AND CLOSE!!! I would be more than happy to pay a little more for this! PERHAPS A SNACK SIZE SLIDER!!

I have always used 4 sizes of Ziplock bags (Gallon, Quart, Sandwich, and Snack) and am greatly disappointed with the change to "Easy Open". While the concept is great for the helpful 'opening' part, the 'closing' part is a nightmare, especially on the snack size baggies. After a dozen (or more) attempts to use these, I am annoyed and frustrated thus leading to the bags getting tossed in favor of a plastic container with a snap on lid. I use baggies (hence the 4 sizes in my drawer) for a plethora of reasons - snacks, toiletries, crafts, medications, freezing, etc., and am now faced with either finding a different brand or using a different storage/travel vessel altogether. Please rethink the mechanism of the 'zipper' on these baggies and employ some QA testing to find out how these can be improved - or restored - to their former ease of closing. Ziplock has always been my go-to brand and I would like to continue relying on your company and your products.

I concur with the rest of the comments regarding how impossible it is to close these bags. It became so annoying that it actually made me want to stop and figure out if I could post the feedback. I also told my wife if she bought any type of Ziploc bag with the easy open tabs moving forward, I would just toss them in the trash and save the rest of the family the frustration. Moving on to another brand...disappointing.

I was excited about finding some snack bags for my husbands lunch. I cannot use them because it takes me more time to try to close them than to make his lunch. I thought it might be me or a bad batch until I read the rest of the reviews. And your answer to those reviews is not very reassuring. You don't seem to make any effort to correcting the problem. They do not protect what is inside because they won't close. They are not easy to use - they are frustrating! I am sorry I wasted my money on these bags. I give them a zero rating.

I have generally loved Ziploc bags, but the new snack bags just won't seal easily! Why in the world did you change the design? If you change the other bag sizes in a similar fashion, I will no longer buy Ziploc bags. In the meantime, I will purchase snack bags from other manufacturers.

I use the snack bags often and thought I was getting regular snack bags. I got these easy open snack bags and am very frustrated each time I use them because they are very hard to close. Sometimes I spill the contents because they didn't get closed properly. I will never buy this type of ziploc bags again.

I still have some of the "old" snack size bags - so I can compare them side by side. I like the old seal - and also - the plastic bag material is thicker. Perhaps the seal re-design was really to mask the fact that the bag material is thinned out?????? Based on this - I think I will just try the generic store brands from now on - really - it was the seal and thicker plastic that kept me from buying generic - now there is nothing stopping me - and it is cheaper!!!

Why would you change such a basic and perfectly serviceable product? You've made a subtle convenient bag into a garish dysfunctional pocket of anti-closing plastic. I've bought these bags for years and am now forced to buy my local grocery store brand that smell like toxic chemicals. Please bring back the old design.
