The new easy open feature may be valuable to some. For me it's ok but not required -- definitely not something that would make me select this brand over another. However, the snack bags with this feature will NOT SEAL. This has been so frustrating that I will be searching out another brand of snack bags. The sandwich bags seem to be ok.

Whatever was done to the locking mechanism in the latest redesign is completely awful. They're "Easy Open" because they don't close. I use these for protein powder when I travel and maybe three out of every 5 bags never closes all the way and my powder ends up all over everything. The old snack bags were perfect, but I won't be buying these again,

These easy tab bags are horrible. Every time I try to open one the seal rips off and I have to get a new bag. I can only use these bags once before I have to transfer everything in the bag to a new bag. The quality of these bags is abysmal. I will be switching to a different brand.

At first I thought that these bags were too small to be of any use. Now I buy them all the time because they are great when you need a small bag rather than waste a bigger one. Not only do I use them for small portions of food, I also use them for household items that I don't want to lose or small parts to something bigger, like screws.

I use the snack bags often and thought I was getting regular snack bags. I got these easy open snack bags and am very frustrated each time I use them because they are very hard to close. Sometimes I spill the contents because they didn't get closed properly. I will never buy this type of ziploc bags again.

I was disappointed in the revisions made to the Ziploc Snack Bags. I have found it next to impossible to lock the bags shut, particularly after the first try. The original bags worked great and had an excellent seal to them. What happened? Did you give up the importance of the quality of your product for a sales feature? Very poor idea!

I still have some of the "old" snack size bags - so I can compare them side by side. I like the old seal - and also - the plastic bag material is thicker. Perhaps the seal re-design was really to mask the fact that the bag material is thinned out?????? Based on this - I think I will just try the generic store brands from now on - really - it was the seal and thicker plastic that kept me from buying generic - now there is nothing stopping me - and it is cheaper!!!

It seems whenever Ziploc changes a design there are problems being able to close them...as is with the green colored zippers. This happened before and I am finding it a problem now. I put all my daily vitamins and prescriptions in Snack bags, and when the closures don't stay, all the vitamins and pills leave the bags. Can you imagine how difficult it is to straighten them all out? I think I will look for another brand.

I thought I was the only one having problems with closing the snack bags, but then I read some reviews. Usually you just slide them closed with your fingers easily but not these. I don't know if Ziploc let a bad batch get out or what. I've never had a problem like this before. I bought the 180 count box so I don't want to just throw them out. But I've been tempted after all the frustration with closing them. It's very frustrating when you try to close them quickly when the school bus shows up early. You have to hope part of it closes and then try to press the rest of it closed. Sometimes leaving openings. If the closing problem is fixed these bags are great.

The new easy open tab might make the bags a tiny bit easier to open, but they are so difficult to seal and especially hard to reseal (this is true for all the sizes I've bought - not just the snack size)! I hate them and plan on trying a generic brand. I don't know that I've ever bought anything other than Ziplock before!
