The tilt is pointing upward, which is very weird to me, even the $20 no name fan has that down correctly. the slow setting is the quiet one, you put it on high it is just like another fan, very loud. I am returning this tomorrow.

I wanted a pedestal fan to place in front of my window on cool summer nights instead of running the air conditioner. This fan is garbage. It is made entirely of plastic. I cannot angle it down more than approximately 15? degrees. Forty five degrees would have been nice to achieve. The pedestal bottom is HUGE. I have high windows. This fan reaches only 52" off the ground fully extended. I wanted to be able to place it on a table to reach my window opening and draw in fresh cool air. Since the bottom is so large, I cannot place it on any table to accommodate such a LARGE base and be stable. In addition, because of such a large base, I cannot place the fan right up against my window. Here is what it did for me on first night: outside temperature 54.2 degrees; inside temperature 73.8 degrees with the fan running on speed of six all night! This is terrible. My living room is only 200 square feet! Other reviews are correct, this fan gets terribly noisy on anything over a "five to six" speed placement. I will be returning this to Sam's Club.

Every LASKO fan is cheap and noisy due to cheap design and performance. When rotation is disabled for stationary operation, the rotation mechanism continues grinding away inside the housing with a continuous periodic rattling noise every two seconds. Perfect price point if quality is unimportant. I will never purchase a Lasko product again.

Blows cold and quiet

I've been using the brand for years when it comes to fans. This fan is stylish and a solid black. Overall I like the fan and I'm happy I purchased the one with the remote, which I have not done for some years. One less star because I have to aim the remote directly at the fan. I also think the silver button on the fan should give more options than 4, 8 or 12 for hour options.

Purchased May 2023 and it quit working May 2024. Cold but loud.

I bought this product recently and it is very inconvenient to use. The remote is horrible! The fan cover mesh is plastic and flimsy!

The best fan I have ever purchased! I love the fact that you can pick the speed that you want and have it oscillating or not!
