I bought this shredder a few days ago and after using it for about 20 minutes it quit taking paper continuously. Instead it would just pulse on and off until the paper was all the way through. The overheat light was not on and it did not feel hot. I unplugged it a let it sit awhile and still the same thing happened when i tried it again. I ended up returning it.

Worked great past the end of the 90 day warranty . We only shred regular paper and we never shred more than 6 sheets at a time . Somewhere around the 120 to 140 day time frame ( less than 20 uses) it suddenly slowed down and ground to a halt. IT IS LOCKED UP DEAD! VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!!!

For the first few times I've used this shredder it performed well. Now when I try to shred something, the motor just pulses and doesn't constantly run through a single piece of paper. I've turned it off and unplugged it, even after a full day, the motor still pulses and doesn't constantly run. If I press the "run" button, it still pulses. It's useless at this point. Time to see if I can return it.

The shredder performed poorly. It will NOT track the paper straight. Instead, it turns it at an angle as it shreds causing the paper to bind, sometimes jamming. The shred quality it produces is best described as paper wads instead of shred strips. This new shredder is actually poorer in quality than the worn out one it was intended to replace. In order to submit this review I had to select at least 1 star, I actually would have selected zero stars if the app would let me. I do NOT recommend this product.

You might get 12 sheets through this thing, but not very often. You cannot even get five or six sheets more than two or three times in a row without it jamming. I just got through clearing mine after shredding about six sheets followed by three sheets. The problem is when you shred the few sheets of paper some of the pieces remain above the cutters for awhile. So if you follow up with any number of sheets you're now shredding those sheets as well as some of the sheets you just put through. Eventually it jams.

I've had this for about 6 months now. Well-built machine with castors that make it easy to move around. It has a "standby" mode in case you want to leave it on and use as needed (I don't). Paper bin is good size. Easily fits under a desk. Shreds "micro-cut" (i.e., pretty fine pieces). The price is excellent for the quality of what you get. It seems to deliver exactly what is says...can shred 12 pages. It gives you notice that the bin is full - it will not operate until emptied. Sound is not too loud like some. The key to these machines operating well is keeping them unclogged (i.e., empty a needed and not overdoing it with too many pages at one time) and lubricated (buy shredder machine oil or lubrication sheets and use them as recommended by the manufacturer).

Bought this on 01/29/21 and initially it worked great but after about 3 weeks it started to have problems shredding. When the paper was inserted it would shred a little then pause and then it would shred a little more than pause. It would keep doing this until the paper was finally shredded and the power light would also blink. I tried other outlets, I tried oiling it and using compressed air to make sure the sensor wasn't dirty but nothing fixed the issue. I contacted Sam's and they sent me a replacement with no issue so I hope this new one works better.

This is a great home shredder. Quiet operation, large bin for shredded paper and has wheels for ease of movement. Not sure if it would shred 12 pieces of paper (except maybe store receipts on thin paper) but can do 6 pieces of paper easy. Also really like the feature that the shredder blades keep running for few seconds after paper has been shredded to get all pieces out of the blades. For home shredding this is a heck of a shredder and deal from Sam's Club. Very happy with this purchase. FYI I always make sure to use shredder lubricating oil every few months or after an extended period of shredding per the directions on the bottle. Extends the life of your shredder and keeps shredding blades working smoothly. Well worth the time and money to buy, keep and use a bottle of this lubricant to protect your machine.

Ther is a known issue with this shredder where it pulses as it shreds. Shreds an inch, stops, starts, stops, starts. There is an internet fix. There is a Youtube video that shows how to "fix" it. The problem is, the fix is to unplug the overheating portion which is dangerous as overheating is something you don't want. This item should be recalled or returnable, despite it being over 90 days. This is a flaw with the product, not an issue from overuse or age of the product. Shame on Sam's for not recalling, but continuing to sell it.

This shredder worked fine, and did what it needed to do until it caught fire this morning. We went to put a few sheets of paper in to shred and as soon as the paper went into the shredding mechanism, a spark of fire ignited. We have had this shredder for well over a year and have had nothing but good to say, but PLEASE be aware that this happened. Keep your families safe!
