Worked as expected, shredded about 2-3 bins full over the course of 10 months. I usually keep it powered off, only powering on when I needed to shred something, once or twice a week. One day I went to turn it on and it didn't power on. I moved it to another outlet, but still no power. It's within the warranty period, but I threw out the carton and packing materials long ago.

It worked perfectly during the initial few uses, but now it has started pulsing. I’m unsure whether it’s a motor or sensor issue, but others appear to have experienced the same problem. Unfortunately, since we don't need to shred stuff very often, it’s past the 90-day return window.

My Members Mark C249-A Shredder is pulsing instead of smoothly shredding paper with a continuous run. There are several other customer complaints about this issue including a video of the problem. This shredder was purchased April 13, 2021 and I understand it is out of the 1 year warranty period. I was hoping to get some satisfaction from my local Sam's (Toledo, OH) but the lady who waited one me said the "100% Satisfaction Guarantee and can be returned at any time" Sam's Warranty, did not apply, even though it was on the screen behind her. I have tried cleaning and lubricating the shredder, but that made no difference. I am what I would describe as a light user of the shredder. Needless to say I am very disappointed in the shredder and the service received from my Toledo, OH Sam's.

I bought this shredder after reading the positive reviews. When I finally tested the shredder, I like how it shreds the paper into small pieces and is very quiet, but less than a month later, the shredder motor started to shred the paper very slow, and the fan was always on. If I put six sheets of paper in the shredder overloaded, but it says it can shred 12 sheets. It got to a point when I put three to four sheets of paper in, the shredder stop and the overload light came on, and then the power light flicked off and on. I couldn't take it anymore, so I returned the shredder, and since I saw all the good reviews, I said maybe I had a bad one, let me give them another chance, so I exchanged it for a new one. I opened the box today and tried to shred something, but to my surprise, the shredder motor came on started moving but would not shred the paper. So I decided to hit the reverse button, and you guessed it, the shredder took the sheet of paper and shredded it but in reverse. What can I do with a machine that I have to hold the reverse bottom down to use it? I'm putting this shredder back in the box as we speak, and I'm going to return it this time for a full refund. The shredder had potential in the beginning only.

This is a great home shredder. Quiet operation, large bin for shredded paper and has wheels for ease of movement. Not sure if it would shred 12 pieces of paper (except maybe store receipts on thin paper) but can do 6 pieces of paper easy. Also really like the feature that the shredder blades keep running for few seconds after paper has been shredded to get all pieces out of the blades. For home shredding this is a heck of a shredder and deal from Sam's Club. Very happy with this purchase. FYI I always make sure to use shredder lubricating oil every few months or after an extended period of shredding per the directions on the bottle. Extends the life of your shredder and keeps shredding blades working smoothly. Well worth the time and money to buy, keep and use a bottle of this lubricant to protect your machine.

Can't review, never received it. Ordered online, was to be delivered from local store (I'd rather from UPS or Fed EX) but did not show up. This was despite an email saying it was delivered and I went to get it at door immediately after email (no porch pirate thing here). Went online, they said they would send a replacement. Guess what, 2nd day same results. Will never order online from Sam's Club again unless it is from a reputable delivery source. Spent more time online than I should have for nothing in return (Still waiting on refund several days later). Ordered one from Amazon, delivered the next day without issues.

Quiet paper shredder

I bought this shredder a few days ago and after using it for about 20 minutes it quit taking paper continuously. Instead it would just pulse on and off until the paper was all the way through. The overheat light was not on and it did not feel hot. I unplugged it a let it sit awhile and still the same thing happened when i tried it again. I ended up returning it.

Bought this on 01/29/21 and initially it worked great but after about 3 weeks it started to have problems shredding. When the paper was inserted it would shred a little then pause and then it would shred a little more than pause. It would keep doing this until the paper was finally shredded and the power light would also blink. I tried other outlets, I tried oiling it and using compressed air to make sure the sensor wasn't dirty but nothing fixed the issue. I contacted Sam's and they sent me a replacement with no issue so I hope this new one works better.

It worked great for about 6 months then it shredded for a second then stopped and repeated this cycle again and again. Chatting with a Sam's service person and she recommended to bring it to a Sam's Club to get a replacement and that was what I did this morning. However, the service person in the club does not let me to have a replacement. Instead, he just give me a refund and told me to buy a new one from the shell. The problem is that it is now $59.68 while I bought it for $53.98.
