my other shredder caught fire after 9yrs. of service it was time to find a shredder that will compare to the last but not catch fire! I purchased the MM 12 sheet cross cut shredder and it is better and quieter than my last shredder. It shreds much quicker and in smaller pieces. I used the lubricant sheet provided before use and will use the lubricant as recommended. It is made well and is easy to use with the window to see how full the bin is as well as a light to let you know it is full.

Worked great for a while. Then I unplugged it for several months because it wasn’t needed. Now it only shreds for a couple seconds at a time and stops frequently. Even when shredding a single sheet. There is nothing stuck. Reverse works consistently. Bin is not even close to full

Researched many shredders prior to purchase and found this one had best reviews relative to features/price point. I took care of over a years worth of shredding in three 30 minutes sessions and without any jambs or other issues. Highly recommend this model.

This machine is so quite! I can use this at night while my family is in bed! AMAZING. Also, it has never turned off on me from overworking or anything. My last shredder was off heated up more than it was on. This machine also does a huge amount of papers with each passthrough! It is a workhorse! I wish I would have purchased this sooner!

I bought this shredder to replace another brand that stopped working. I have to say I was impressed by how quiet this shredder is. It shreds multiple papers effortlessly and I love the slim design. The shredder motor is attached to the frame and the entire unit came pre-assembled. I love this shredder so far. Time will tell how long it lasts.

This is the best shredder I've ever owned, and I'm still shocked at the price of it as well. It totally shreds paper into micro bits, is easy to dump, and is easy to maintain too. I put a lubricant sheet in it after each empty and it runs like a top. It is very quiet too. I've owned it for almost a year now and absolutely love it.

This shredder has performed well. I have shredded several boxes of documents and have 12 garbage bags of finely shredded paper. I put it through a tough test and expected it would not finish the job. It is a little beast! Its a little louder now but still gets the job done.

I kept putting off shredding because my old one was so small. I was happy when it broke, and even happier that I found this gem. It is very quiet and the bin is a great size for home or office. It shredded multiple pieces of paper with ease and had no problem with credit cards. There is a plastic bag covering the machine when received; I recommend using that as the liner for the bin... makes it easy to pull out, dump the shredded paper into the recycling, and reload the bin.

I just bought this but my 1st experience with it was great. So much for quieter than my old one. Does a great job of shredding several pages @ once without slowing down. At this point I am very happy with the purchase so I only hope it continues to serve me so well in many years to come. Thanks

After about a year of light use, it started to not run right. Any time I tried to shred something, it would run only for a fraction of a second at a time, stop for a second, then start up again for another fraction of a second, doing this over and over while paper was loaded. I checked all the sensors and tried different power sources, but nothing helped and it's basically unusable now. Thankfully Member's Mark issued me a refund for it. I would only give it one star, but since it worked great at the start, it seems to deserve a second star.
