This shredder was purchased 13 months ago and used 3 times for light home use. I tried to use it today and it’s not working. I’m having the same issue as the other reviewers. The shredder “pulses” on and off. It will pull in about 1/2 inch then stop then go again, very slowly. It seems like there’s a short in the unit because the power light also dims when it pulses. Unfortunately, I’m just over the one year warranty so there’s nothing I can do. I’m upset because I barely used it. I won’t use it anymore because of the pulse shredding happening, but mostly because it feels like a fire hazard because of the shorting with the on and off of the power light. Save your money and look for a different unit.

Bought shredder 9-28-2019 had to return on 10-9-2019 for my first issue exchanged for a new shredder, last week stopped working again for the 3rd time. Had bought 3 year protection plan they fixed previously, but wont repair again they state repairs done in previous claims were in excess of purchase price so warranty is expired. Previous cheap shredder lasted 8 years not a lot of heavy use on my shredders. Not a good shredder in my experience.

Researched many shredders prior to purchase and found this one had best reviews relative to features/price point. I took care of over a years worth of shredding in three 30 minutes sessions and without any jambs or other issues. Highly recommend this model.

After about a year of light use, it started to not run right. Any time I tried to shred something, it would run only for a fraction of a second at a time, stop for a second, then start up again for another fraction of a second, doing this over and over while paper was loaded. I checked all the sensors and tried different power sources, but nothing helped and it's basically unusable now. Thankfully Member's Mark issued me a refund for it. I would only give it one star, but since it worked great at the start, it seems to deserve a second star.

This machine is so quite! I can use this at night while my family is in bed! AMAZING. Also, it has never turned off on me from overworking or anything. My last shredder was off heated up more than it was on. This machine also does a huge amount of papers with each passthrough! It is a workhorse! I wish I would have purchased this sooner!

Out the the box the unit had s smell that I can only describe as warm or overheated. I thouht it was maybe that "new car smell" boy was I wrong. I ran a few pages through it was great. A fan came on so I left the room allowed it to run, came back a bit later an ran a handful of pages and then suddenly the unit just stopped. I tuned it off came back in the morning and as soon as you place one sheet of paper the fan cycles on and the paper will not shred. I will be returning.

my other shredder caught fire after 9yrs. of service it was time to find a shredder that will compare to the last but not catch fire! I purchased the MM 12 sheet cross cut shredder and it is better and quieter than my last shredder. It shreds much quicker and in smaller pieces. I used the lubricant sheet provided before use and will use the lubricant as recommended. It is made well and is easy to use with the window to see how full the bin is as well as a light to let you know it is full.

Pros: Very Very quiet. Pull out bin makes emptying easy...no more pulling off the heavy motor to empty it. I like the clear window which tells me when it is getting full but does have a 'Bin' light which lights anyway when the bin is too full. It's never overheated with over 10 mnutes of continuous usage, so I can't say how long it takes to cool down. The 21 inch height makes controls easy to reach. Casters are a plus if you want to move it around easier. Devours 12 sheets with ease. Cons: If your looking for warp speed in shredding, this is not the machine. It takes about 7-8 seconds for a sheet of paper to go through. Overall: Ive had others brands. This is not the best, but far better other machines in the same comparable price range.

This thing is great. I had a similar size shredder from another manufacturer that would always jam even only using half the advertised capacity and was very loud. This thing is amazing, it's so quiet, perfect for an office, and I can put all 12 sheets it's rated for with absolutely no problem. It says it's for home, but really I think it would be fine for most offices unless you were shredding all day.

Works mostly as advertised. It is loud. It chews more than shreds, which creates a ton of dust. But it jammed up a couple of times the first time I used it (only shredding 6-8 sheets at a time), and I had issues with the shredder thinking the bin was full when it was empty (due to paper stuck in the blades). The only way I could clear it was to unplug the machine and remove the paper manually. Going to give it another shot, but if the performance isn't more consistent, it will be going back.
