You might get 12 sheets through this thing, but not very often. You cannot even get five or six sheets more than two or three times in a row without it jamming. I just got through clearing mine after shredding about six sheets followed by three sheets. The problem is when you shred the few sheets of paper some of the pieces remain above the cutters for awhile. So if you follow up with any number of sheets you're now shredding those sheets as well as some of the sheets you just put through. Eventually it jams.

My last shredder was over 20 years old and it finally broke. After some basic research, I settled on this one from Sam’s Club and I must say I’m quite pleased with it. First thing I noticed is that it’s whisper quiet. Very nice! The crosscut shredding eliminates any possibility of anyone sitting down with strips of paper and reassembling your confidential documents. Another feature I like is after it’s done, shredding your documents it pauses for a moment, and then reverses the motor to unstick any documents that may have been left wrapped around the blades. It has wheels that make it easy to move away from the wall for vacuuming and then roll right back. Love that! The compartment that holds the shreds pulls out of the unit like a drawer. Much easier to empty than my last one. All around I give this five stars AAA+++

This shredder sucks. Flat out sucks. Jams up after a few feeds of 2-3 pages, feeder never worked, warranty did not address these issues, I could not be more disappointed in this shredder. I literally threw it out Way too frustrating. Sorry to be so negative but I gave this thing almost 2 years and it did nothing but disappoint. There you go.

Bought this on 01/29/21 and initially it worked great but after about 3 weeks it started to have problems shredding. When the paper was inserted it would shred a little then pause and then it would shred a little more than pause. It would keep doing this until the paper was finally shredded and the power light would also blink. I tried other outlets, I tried oiling it and using compressed air to make sure the sensor wasn't dirty but nothing fixed the issue. I contacted Sam's and they sent me a replacement with no issue so I hope this new one works better.

This is the best shredder I have used. Has quiet operation, shreds in tiny pieces. Will shred several pieces of paper at a time. Handles cards too. I don't have to empty the bin as often as with smaller shredders. The price was great. This is a great buy!

Unit began to surge when putting paper in it. A better word is PULSATE. It failed outside the warranty window. It wasn't used very hard. I've owned it for seven months. I foiund a YouTube video on clipping some wires. It works for now. I don't trust the long term fix. I don't think this unit if durable.

I bought this about 3 months ago. It started pulsating about 4 weeks ago but stopped after a day. It started again yesterday and I can't get it to stop now. I found a u-tube video about cleaning the sensors but that was a waste of time. So this shredder is worthless to me. I am cancelling my membership because of this. It's a piece of junk and I will not recommend to anyone.

This shredder should be recalled; it obviously has a design flaw that causes it to pulsate shred (shred a small amount, pause, continue) that multiple buyers including myself have experienced. Unfortunately it will likely fail outside of the warranty and or return window like most of us have noted in our reviews. I really liked the shredder until the above noted started.

Positives: Quiet operation Efficiently shreds paper; meaning the paper is cross-cut into roughly 10mm x 5mm pieces The sizable bin and cross-cut shredding allows of plenty to be processed Negatives: Barely wide enough to feed 8.5 inch sheets Continuous feeding of only 2 sheets at a time resulted in blockage whereby the paper had become compressed and stuck The narrow opening hindered efforts to clear the jam; I was almost tempted to take the shredder back to the store Automatically cuts off power when shreds heap up on one side of the bin thereby requiring frequent manual leveling in the bin Conclusion: It would have rated 5-stars if not for the fact that continuous shredding of two papers at a time gummed up the blades. I still recommend this shredded but only for a light load of shredding activity.

We chose this unit because it's set up so the basket pulls out sideways (on narrow side). It sits between our table and wall. If it had a front pull out (on wide side of basket) we would have to put the unit in sideways and pull the whole unit out every time we needed to empty it (like our old typical design unit). Reasonable price especially for one with wheels, good size for home use. Shreds into very small pieces. We tested it by shredding 12 sheets at once, not the fastest but works well for us. We typically only have a few sheets to shed at once. It has a main (Master) power switch in the back where you can turn it off and keep it off. If the main power switch in the back is on you can turn it on and off on the top of the shredder near the paper feed. I rated it 4 stars, since we've only had it just over a month or so and it 's worked great. If I knew it would last for a couple more years (I assume it will) I'd give it 5 stars.
