It's not made for it, but I am micro shredding cardboard for my vermicomposting worms. The shreds are PERFECT for the bedding and they break down much easier than the longer shreds I've been using. The micro shredder the person recommended was $150, so I thought I would give Sam's Club shredder a try at about $100 less - it's doing the job very well. I'm amazed at how much bulk it takes out. So, I've had it a couple of weeks and am very happy with it. I use it every day for either paper or cardboard!

original shredder worked fine until one day it started /stop, started / stop, started / stop until paper was shredded, returned under warranty, and now the replace does the same. ( out of warranty).Originally purchased @ $54, now on sale for $59. I think I'll try one more, thats it.

I purchased one of these in Feb 2021 and it only lasted until November under very light use. It was replaced under warranty and now that replacement has only lasted until today, June 2022. I will be returning it once again. I don't know what causes the problem, but the shredder will suddenly stop taking in paper smoothly and begin taking in paper in pulses. Thorough cleanings of both the paper sensor and the interior blades makes no difference.

This product stopped working after 3 months. It shredded fine when I first bought it. Then it would shred intermittently. I would put paper in it to shred. Then it would start and stop multiple times without sending the paper all the way through. I called the help desk. They told me to run a q-tip with alcohol back and forth in the slot where the paper is inserted. Then wait 30 min before using. I did this several times hoping it would work after trying 752 times. It did not. It seems that quite a few of us are having a similar issue. It also seems that this product is defective and needs to be recalled. When I called the help desk again, they were kind enough to refund the purchase price and told me I could do whatever I wanted with the shredder. I have dismantled it and reassembled it. Still the same issue. Guess I’ll be using that refund to buy a new shredder, but not a Member’s Mark brand.

Right after we purchased the shredder, it worked great. It was only used a few times a week, usually to get rid of junk cc apps. Now, it pulsates on and off several times, just trying to shred one piece of paper. The reverse button works just like it should, but the forward action pulsates just the same. I found a video on YouTube that is supposedly a fix. We'll see... It's a shame since it's less than a year old.

I bought this about 3 months ago. It started pulsating about 4 weeks ago but stopped after a day. It started again yesterday and I can't get it to stop now. I found a u-tube video about cleaning the sensors but that was a waste of time. So this shredder is worthless to me. I am cancelling my membership because of this. It's a piece of junk and I will not recommend to anyone.

I don't usually bother writing a review unless a product is really exceptional or is really bad so after using the shredder, I had to give it 5 stars. My old shredder died, and after reading reviews, went with this shredder and so far, I am pretty happy with this model. It is so much quieter than my old one, shreds much smaller, and has a fan so it does not overheat as quickly as my old one. I also love that it is on wheels so it is easier to move around. The only issue that I had was putting in too much paper and causing a jam. It was not really easy to get it out (the old one never had this issue so that is the only plus for the old one!) Both my shredders have never matched the paper limit and I have found that 2 or 3 sheets max is the best route if I don't want to overload the shredder.

I run a small business out of our home, which is the number one reason why we purchased this shredder. It’s pretty compact and looks nice! It does everything from credit cards to CDs… and minces the paper so nicely. We use it every day, have had it for a month, and have only had to empty it once or twice. I especially love it for all of the political hoohah that comes in the mail too. Great for eliminating paper clutter!

Like others have mentioned, this shredder doesn't last. It just gets occasional home use but now it pulls in the paper about an inch at a time. At the same time, the power light dims. I don't know if it's an electrical issue or what. My last shredder (different brand) lasted for years. I'll be going back to the store that one came from and purchase another.

I researched quite a few micro cut shredders before deciding to give their one a try. The two reasons I decided to buy Members Mark’s brand were the great reviews and the price. I have 0 complaints. This baby really shreds paper making it almost dust! You’ll be glad you purchased it as I am.
