It's not made for it, but I am micro shredding cardboard for my vermicomposting worms. The shreds are PERFECT for the bedding and they break down much easier than the longer shreds I've been using. The micro shredder the person recommended was $150, so I thought I would give Sam's Club shredder a try at about $100 less - it's doing the job very well. I'm amazed at how much bulk it takes out. So, I've had it a couple of weeks and am very happy with it. I use it every day for either paper or cardboard!

I hope this micro-cut shredder lasts a very long time because it has the best features of a side drawer, quiet operation, on wheels and the micro-cuts don't fill the basket as quickly as other cuts. As a precaution, I also bought the shredder sharpening and lubricant sheets to use after emptying every full basket of micro-cuts.

My last shredder was over 20 years old and it finally broke. After some basic research, I settled on this one from Sam’s Club and I must say I’m quite pleased with it. First thing I noticed is that it’s whisper quiet. Very nice! The crosscut shredding eliminates any possibility of anyone sitting down with strips of paper and reassembling your confidential documents. Another feature I like is after it’s done, shredding your documents it pauses for a moment, and then reverses the motor to unstick any documents that may have been left wrapped around the blades. It has wheels that make it easy to move away from the wall for vacuuming and then roll right back. Love that! The compartment that holds the shreds pulls out of the unit like a drawer. Much easier to empty than my last one. All around I give this five stars AAA+++

I originally purchased one that had an lubricating paper that was to be used prior to the first use then the instructions said to oil every 2 weeks. This oil caused horrible smell to be generated and the unit stopped working after just a few days of use. I returned and received a replacement that didn't have this lubricating paper and so far it has worked perfectly for 2 weeks with heavy use the first week then moderate use thereafter.

This is a great shredder. I looked at several office supply stores and all were more expensive than this one. The shredder runs quietly, works fast, and because it is a micro shredder, cuts your papers into little squares. Being able to pull the bin out the front to empty rather than removing the cutting unit from the top is a big plus.

I researched quite a few micro cut shredders before deciding to give their one a try. The two reasons I decided to buy Members Mark’s brand were the great reviews and the price. I have 0 complaints. This baby really shreds paper making it almost dust! You’ll be glad you purchased it as I am.

I read several reviews that said the shredder either didn't work, or stopped working after a short period of time. I've only used it a few times, but I think it works great! I love the micro-cut and the pull-out "catch bin" makes it very convenient to empty. I think it's a great shredder, and the price can't be beat.

Wow. I'm impressed by this shredder (and being a "house brand" makes it a double). Shreds nice, small and consistent size - great for composting - and SUPER QUIET! The size for a home office and residential use. Good price compared to other comparable units.

I was impressed with this shredder and the extra features. It shreds in very small cuts, much smaller than my last shredder. It has a red light to indicate a full container so I can Emory it without it being overfilled. It’s very quiet, too. Well worth the price.

We chose this unit because it's set up so the basket pulls out sideways (on narrow side). It sits between our table and wall. If it had a front pull out (on wide side of basket) we would have to put the unit in sideways and pull the whole unit out every time we needed to empty it (like our old typical design unit). Reasonable price especially for one with wheels, good size for home use. Shreds into very small pieces. We tested it by shredding 12 sheets at once, not the fastest but works well for us. We typically only have a few sheets to shed at once. It has a main (Master) power switch in the back where you can turn it off and keep it off. If the main power switch in the back is on you can turn it on and off on the top of the shredder near the paper feed. I rated it 4 stars, since we've only had it just over a month or so and it 's worked great. If I knew it would last for a couple more years (I assume it will) I'd give it 5 stars.
