Kidde brand is reputable. Right now, at this moment, my alarm in the cellar is going off. Someone is coming tomorrow to put up the new one. The dogs woke us up barking. I'm scared. I hope it's just a malfunction.

I found this to be a very well made piece of equipment. Easy to install using the anchor screws provided. The screw to activate the power was well thought out.

It started going off randomly in the middle of the night after only a month after installing it. The only way to stop it is to permanently disable it when you turn it to off.

Because it was not the one I originally wanted/picked out but the substitute cost more than the original one that I picked out. I didn’t have enough time to respond so I just excepted the item.

I love that it's a smoke AND carbon monoxide detector in one. The installation was easy.... I am so happy to have peace of mind that my family is being protected.

had it just shy of 2 months and it went bonkers, shorting out. no amber fault light, just chirping like a normal low battery, but would NOT turn off. complete waste of $60! BEYOND mad, and disappointed.

Worked for 4 months and then started beeping intermittently. New batteries did not help. Placed outside still beeped. It cost me almost $20 to return for warranty replacement. NOT HAPPY!
