Never to old to learn

Not what I expected

I bought this DU7200 75 inch a couple weeks ago. All reviews were good is the reason I bought it. Didn't realize it is a very entry level TV. I can't connect my older Bose system to it or my new Bose sound bar because it doesn't have optical or rca connections. I did connect the sound bar via Bluetooth just to find out the sound does not sync with the picture. I even bought an audio converter only to find out it wouldn't work either. wish I had kept my older Samsung that worked perfectly. I just wanted a larger tv. Lesson learned on my part that what seems to be good is not always what you get.

Hi Never to old to learn, Thank you for purchasing the Samsung DU7200 TV. To address the audio delay, you may want to try the Audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay. To activate this feature, go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > set to Pass-Through. Extremely slow startup

This TV has great sound and a very nice picture. The main problem I have with all Samsungs is that the remote keeps changing. I own several Samsungs now and every remote is different. Even though they are Smart TVs, I use a ROKU on all of them. With the ROKUs, I don't have to explain to the wife or kids (over and over) how each remote functions. We just use the ROKU remotes to control them all, and they are all the same. This particular TV also takes a ridiculously long time to start up. Early on, I kept thinking I forgot to press the power button. In addition to that, it takes a long time to recognize that something is connected to the HDMI 1 port. My other Samsungs start up quickly and go directly to the HDMI port where the ROKU is installed. Even without the ROKU, I think the slow startup will bother most people.

Awesome television

My old Visio finally died, replaced it with a new Visio and it was a horrible tv. Then bought this Samsung and absolutely LOVE everything about it! No more having to deal with 3+ remotes, the picture is sharp and clear. Remote is easily learnable and did I say how much I LOVE this television?!?!

Great picture, great sound. Best tv i own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this tv! It's for our living room, best picture we could've got! And for the price at the time, it was a steal. By far the best TV I've own. I've definitely fallen asleep in my living room a few times too much, just can't seem to leave it.

Navigation is easy. Picture and sound are perfect

We're loving our new tv. We easily hooked it up and set the apps to our viewing preferences. It supports the subscriptions we have or may add later. The picture is clear and there's no need to add our soundbar. We downsized to the 55" screen and were pleased with our decision.

Worse remote

I purchased about a month ago. I hate the remote, the so call 2 page manual, and the whole setup is so confusing. I discovered that I can use the remote from the Du6000. I wish I could get another so that I don't have to take it from my living upstairs to the bedroom. I missed a lot of my shows because I couldn't figure how to find my steaming channels.

Just ok bcuz of remote controls.

So far so good except for the remote controls. They are the the worst I’ve ever encountered. I can’t ‘feel’ the points of contacts - can’tvsense if I’ve successfully pushed the button or not. Bought all three tv’s the same day - had O known how awful the remotes are I’d think twice.

Awesome TV

I bought this TV in December 2024 and I’ve enjoyed every minute of watching it. This is my 2nd Samsung TV. My first one was a 50 inch and I got it over 10 years ago and it’s still got a great picture and working great. I put it in the spare bedroom. I just wanted a 65 inch and decided in December when I saw it on sale that I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve never had any issues. Do yourself a favor and check out Samsung TV’s.

3rd go with Samsung

This is my third Samsung television. The picture went out of both in appx 5 years, so I expect this one to do the same. This one has the best picture of course. The remote is small and a bit cumbersome with the basic functions buried in remote. The speaker is a tad weak also. It lacks depth and I frequently use a soundbar to improve it. Basically a decent television and compared to lesser named sets, it is a bit overpriced. I also have a 32" in my bedroom which is only a couple months older than the 50" and it has already shown signs of failure. While I obviously am a Samsung supporter, I can see the quality of the product is going downhill. I will be open to other options when its time to replace these sets which will likely be in the next year or two unfortunately. Based on cost and longevity, I will consider other units.

This TV has made our home more efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love out new TV. We don’t have traditional cable so we had to install multiple apps to stream our favorite content. Our only wish is for the interface to be simpler to use and customize. The learning curve on where things are was much longer than our previous TV, but after a couple of weeks we adapted to it but we prefer our old one. The one thing we love about our new TV is how it has made our house more efficient. Unbeknownst to us, all of our Samsung appliances talk to each other and we now get alerts if one of the kids leaves the door fridge open, or if the microwave food is ready. The alerts at the top of the screen are helpful but not intrusive. The picture quality is also amazing. We paired it with a Samsung sound bar and we have theater quality experience when watching movies, or simply streaming music through the device. Overall, we give it 4 out of 5 stars. If the Home Screen was easier to use - this would be a 5.
