In our area there are only the original briquets available. I would like to see more of the variety of your brand in our area. Particularly the Mesquite and Hickory. If I wanted to learn how to prepare for competition I would need the Competition Briquets available as well. Pleases help us enjoy great BBQ this summer in the Dayton,Ohio area with these products being made available to us.

We are Looong time users of KIngsford Charcoal. This season we bought a 2x20 lb package as we usually do. We do a lot of dutch oven cooking and the number of coals you use is important. We find the new coals don't last as long, so they are messing up our recipes. We found an older bag in our camper, and compared. The old briquet was at least 1/3 larger than the new ones. We have also found they don't last as long in our kettle cooker. Please go to the old tried and true.back

I'm 52 and my family and I have always used Kingsford charcoal for our grilling. We also used the briquettes to soak up dampness from our basement and it was better than all the others we tried. My problem now is the briquettes have shrunk. They used to be plump, hard as rocks, and heavy. Now they are flat, with a crease in the middle which I have no idea why, and are light weights. They don't burn as long or as hot and I have to use twice as much and the price per bag has increased so it makes it more expensive. Will kingsford ever go back to the original original? It was such a good product. I'll still use it because of the flavor and ease of use and it leaves no after taste (the fluid) like others do. Please Kingsford go back to the fat briquettes.

I have been using this brand for a long time and have spent alot of money in the last few months i have purchased some really poor quality charcoal and fluid . The charcoal taking longer than normal to light and fluid that wont even start the coals its like water so ive gone out and purchased other brands.

I have used Kingsford for as long as I have been barbacuing. It always lights well and stays lot long. When I lived in West Virginia, I had a grill designed like a stage coach, and I believe it came from Kingsford. My 4 grown children all use Kingsford, and we always will!

Got a large grill for a wedding gift and have been grilling non-stop for months. There's just about nothing you can't grill with Kingsford Original. Brats, patties, steaks, summer sausage stuffed with sauerkraut and even vegetables (corn on the cob, asparagus, shish kabobs) all taste great with good smokey flavor. Never had a problem lighting them and they've always been a great value. Low-priced and you can find a bag just about anywhere.

this product deserves no stars. as a kid, i learned to use the grill at age 8 because my stepfather was southern and he loved bbq. i havent grilled myself because i didnt have a grill at my apartment. now that i have a house, i couldnt wait to buy a grill and get kingsford "blue bag" charcoal. i must say, i am very disappointed. the coals burned to quickly and they went out immediately. we had to keep adding coals and relighting. i did this twice to cook a medium well steak. very disappointed. this is a product i grew up on and it let me down. i want to give no stars but it will not let me. so know that even though i give 1 star, i really mean -1.

Have tried many other types of charcoal, and half of them never ignite, or they burn unevenly. Kingsford is the only one I use, and even on hot humid Chicago days, it starts right up without having to put a ton of lighter fluid, turns nice and ashy evenly

After using Kingsford for 40 years, we are extremely disappointed in your"new and improved" formula. We used the briquettes for cast iron Dutch oven cooking. Sad to say we now use three times as many coals as we used to. Not worth the cost. Please bring back the old formula. We can no longer recommend your product as we have in the past.

I bought this product a week ago, and have used it to grill fish, steak and squash. Each time it was more difficult to start, but once the fire was started, it created a lot more smoke than previous bags of Kingsford Original. It imparted to the food an unpleasant chemical taste. This charcoal is totally different from the Kingsford Original that was packaged in the bag with the "100th Anniversary" logo. It is the worst Kingsford product I have ever purchased!
