Usage: Stack briquettes in a pyramid. Add lighter fluid following lighter fluid directions. Light charcoal. Leave grill uncovered. Flames will die out while the briquettes continue to burn and start to ash over. Spread briquettes in a single layer when covered in ash (in about 15 minutes). Begin grilling.

Works great in a smoker

They light well in a starter chimney. Burn hot and long if enough are used. A couple work great in a can of smoker pellets to get them going and keep them going without a blow torch or other weird methodology.
