I used to buy whatever brand charcoal was on sale. At the beginning of this summer we tried Kingsford and we are never going to buy a different brand again. They are so easy to get started, burn extremely long, and they flavor of the food always turns out great. I highly recommend trying this product!

I've been an avid backyard griller, using my Weber 22" kettle for over 10 years. I can say in that time, I've used primarily Kingsford Original. Last season I just finished up the last of the 20# bags purchased a couple years ago (I buy a lot). I could typically use 3 full chimney's worth before I needed to empty the ash collector on my grill. This year I started on the 19.5# Club bags I bought last year. You've changed something. Not only do I only get 2 full chimney's worth of ash before having to empty the ash collector, but it doesn't last as long. I also use the snake method when I slow smoke baby back ribs, and my snake, using exactly the same number of briquettes, doesn't last the full 6 hours anymore. I hope your shareholders are happy because I'm not.

I have grown up with Kingsford and have always been happiest with the results i got from it. I am sorry to say I can no longer say that. Since the change in briquets they are smaller and don't work as well as they used to. Our entire family has noticed this , while the still work just fine for burgers and hot dogs, they fail for any longer cooking requirements like chicken.

I've used this product for years but recently, they've decided to be like the rest of great companies that went to the wayside and it now sucks...... i bought a bag of coals and had to use almost twice as much as they burned out very quickly. i was cooking chicken and had to add coals too many times, not like before. i want my money back.

I always used Kingsford Original Charcoal since I began grilling, going on 40 yrs. now. Never had a problem and if I did it was something I messed up. I have had friends bring over charcoal at different times that wasn't Kingsford, and it was always less than quality results using it. Kingsford is the best.

I have been using Kingsford charcoal for 25 years or more.You made a change to the charcoal by reducing the size of the briquete with a K stamped in it.I have to use about 20% to 25% more to acheive the same results with the old charcoal.I am very disappointed with this new briquete.I see that it is good for Kingsford as you will sell alot more charcoal.I did love your product but I am going to try different brand now.Burns longer is not true at all.

Been defending Kingsford as the preferred BBQ fuel over Wood Pellets and Wood for years, but my recent purchases do not reflect the product I grew to love. It's taking longer to start, isn't burning as hot and generates a lot of ash. It's fine for typical backyard cookouts, but if you are more adventuresome (ribs, steaks, slow cooking) the current product is not what I remember. Where in the past I used to be able to get Blue Bag close to 600 degrees to sear meat, it's now closer to 450. The ash generated is enough to choke out other coals. I'm using Blue Bag in both the traditional Weber Kettle and a championship grade smoker. I haven't measured the time to start, but it sure seems like it's taking a lot longer to get the red coals needed to really do the job right. I've refused to go the wood route, but it's something I'm going to need to ponder. It's not worth having a championship smoker if the fuel doesn't get the job done.

I WON'T BUY ANY OTHER BRAND OF CHARCOAL, BECAUSE YOUR PRODUCT IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET. IT LIGHTS EASY, BURNS EVEN & IS READY VERY QUICKLY. YOUR LIGHTER FLUID IS GREAT ALSO. THE OTHER BRANDS IT SEEMS LIKE IT TAKES THE WHOLE BOTTLE JUST TO GET THE CHARCOAL GOING, BUT WITH YOURS IT JUST TAKES A LITTLE. IF I'M GRILLING SOMEWHERE BESIDES HOME & SOMETIMES AT HOME, I GRAB THE MATCHLIGHT SO I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DRAGGING THE FLUIID ALONG. PEOPLE ARE CRAZY IF THEY BUY ANYTHING ELSE!!!

My husband won't let me buy any other brand of charcoal! He makes the most fantastic food on our TWO weber grills, and his new Weber Smokey Mountain cooker that he got for his birthday. He has been using Kingsford for years, and we wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I've used Kingsford charcoal off and on thru the years sometimes substituting some other brand, usually the store brand. Since smoking turkeys and hams at Thanksgiving and Christmas and seeing the difference in how fast the Kingsford starts and then holds the heat has made me sold on Kingsford. So now I spend a little more $$$ and get Kingsford. I've recently purchased a Kingsford grill and the two go good togetherl.
