I've been an avid backyard griller, using my Weber 22" kettle for over 10 years. I can say in that time, I've used primarily Kingsford Original. Last season I just finished up the last of the 20# bags purchased a couple years ago (I buy a lot). I could typically use 3 full chimney's worth before I needed to empty the ash collector on my grill. This year I started on the 19.5# Club bags I bought last year. You've changed something. Not only do I only get 2 full chimney's worth of ash before having to empty the ash collector, but it doesn't last as long. I also use the snake method when I slow smoke baby back ribs, and my snake, using exactly the same number of briquettes, doesn't last the full 6 hours anymore. I hope your shareholders are happy because I'm not.

Waited to give a review I was fortunate to receive a new kingsford pit for my 60+ birthday recently and wanted to christin a couple of times before writing review I have used kingsford since my father taught me to char grill On a yearly basis in Louisiana probably grill on average 2 times week Do not use anything but Kingsford now with new pit and charcoal only gets better If do not have one of the Kingsford pits get one

We only buy Kingsford brand Original Charcoal. We have tried others and Kingsford is "hands-down" the very best. It is consistent and cleans up easily. Don't waste your money on bargain brands as you will be disappointed. Get Kingsford-it's the VERY BEST!!!

I go through about 20 - 30 lbs of Kingsford every week to assist my smoker in keeping heat. I have regretfully tried other brands and Kingsford is by far the best for low and slow or hot and fast cooking. I will never be foolish enough to go with another brand again!

My Dad has used Kingsford since I was a baby. I grew up on the best dang grill flavor you can ask for. I’m 37 and been grilling since I could stack a pyramid of black bliss! I find that kingsford is the best for any grilling. The charcoal lights fastest and burns longer. My husband bought another brand and I decided to try it, but after a while of having to relight the charcoal I threw it out and went back to store and bought kingsford. We will never use another brand again.

I've been a Kingsford user for nearly 20 years. In the past, my family and I have had good success with The Original charcoal but this years batch has been disappointing for some reason. I use a full Smoke Chimney and spread them out evenly just like every other year. The difference is the charcoal burns out too fast. We get approximately 10-15 minutes of 300 degree temps but it goes down to 190 degrees quickly. I make sure the dampers are adjusted properly. I thought there was a problem with the first bag and went to the store to get another. It happened again. After the cook, the briquettes are still solid but white. They used to crumble to ash. We enjoy using Kingsford but may try another brand.

I've always used this charcoal, but have gotten a couple of bum bags in the past two seasons. I realize it seems ridiculous as charcoal production is a pretty straight forward process one would think, but I could not get these freaking things going. Totally ruined a get together as I was humiliated at having to practically set the deck on fire to get a steady heat...and they still went out about half way burned. Before anyone wonders, I am an veteran griller and the product was properly stored (although perhaps not at the store or warehouse...moisture...did not seem so). Anyway, Kingsford has now lost a previously loyal customer...there are other ways to grill, after all.

I have been a Kingsford customer for the past 17 years. I have never been so disappointed in the quality of the Kingsford Original Charcoal that I have purchased for the past few years. I used to love the brand but lately, the charcoal that I have been purchasing seems to burn a whole lot faster than what it did a few years back. Although I will continue to purchase and recommend Kingsford Original Charcoal to my family and friends I hope that the quality improves as far as the burn time is concerned.

8 years ago i switched from gas to charcoal and never regretted it. I will only use the " Original ". I grill all year long and go through at least 500 lbs.plus during the summer I even do Thanksgiving on the grill .now my son will only buy "Kingsford" the legacy lives on
