I was hesitant to buy these as the lamb loin chops have been a favorite, but I’m glad I did! I cooked them in the crockpot and then broiled them for a couple minutes and they were delicious! I served them with an homemade horseradish sauce. Also, this is a great price for one of the healthiest foods out there! For those giving it a low rating because of the smell—-do some research before throwing away that that good meat! The gamey smell is normal! The smell is strong when you first open it, but it lessens a bit after awhile.

Crap. The meat had a VERY tacky feel to it. Like when glue between your fingers start to set. No pad at the bottom. Meat sat in the blood which had congealed like a movie special effect. Wasn't about to chance it so back it went. Didn't appreciate having to use part of my day off to do so or my ruined meal. Pay attention to other reviews and try at your own risk. May cost more but I'll trust a store next time. Least I'll get fresher product.

purchased a tray of lamb shoulder chops and the smell upon opening the package was awful. Fresh lamb has a mild, distinct smell, but this meat had a strong, rotten, putrid stench that immediately filled the kitchen. It was completely unusable and clearly spoiled. We had to throw the entire tray in the trash right away. Extremely disappointed in the quality and freshness of the meat

I purchased this lamb shoulder chops yesterday morning of September 16th, it had processing date September 16th, which is the same day I bought it. So that was very promising. I took it home and when my wife opened the package to cook it. The smell was so strong. She started coughing and almost threw up. It made the whole kitchen smell bad.There is no way this meat wasn't bad when they processed it on September 16th unless they are lying about the processing date?I returned it today,very disappointing. I will never buy meat from Sam's again.

I just bought this to replace the lamb roast I asked for a refund for because there was a horrible smell when I opened the lamb roast package I bought previously but when I got home and opened the lamb shoulder chop package the same awful smell appeared again. Both packages are Australian lamb so I guess it’s the same supplier. Beware!
