We bought this a few weeks ago. The battery life is horrible. We set it to vacuum the kitchen, entryway and living room on Tues and Thurs and the master bedroom and bath on Mon and Wed It spends an hour vacuuming our bath and bedroom on the scheduled run but doesn't get finished because it is really slow and the battery runs out. It does return to its station for a recharge but it is brand new. I would think the battery should last longer than one hour. Also, our bath and bedroom are not large enough to warrant it taking that long. I can only imagine the battery life will get even worse with time. In addition, it doesn't pick up my or the (non-shedding) dog's hair. It just makes a hair wad and spits it out for us to pick up later. We will probably return it. For the money it is just not worth it.

Does a decent job, tracks well, doesn't get stuck but I regret buying it. Found out they make you use their batteries and charge an insane $90 for a 1.8 Ah battery replacement. Why the battery is so small in the first place is a mystery to be but to charge that much for a replacement is straight up scummy.

iRobot's floor-cleaning Robot does a really nice job picking up debris in our kid-filled home, and the easily-cleaned beater bars and oversized debris tank make clean up a breeze. The charging base will empty the on-board debris just fine, albeit that can't happen at night when everyone is sleeping as it is quite loud. Excellent battery life, great cleaning, self-emptying and great corner cleaning brushes make this robot vacuum a winner!

First off—it does a decent job of vacuuming. Second off — it’s never finished making it through our home. It keeps getting on any of our rugs and then throws the drop off error. It get hung up on the base either trying to get off of it or getting back on. The rugs we have are short pile and sometimes it works and other times it does. We are taking ours back as it is extremely frustrating moving it to a new location every time it detect a cliff while it’s sitting on a rug.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot Roomba i3 is much better than the cheaper BobSweep robot that I have. The i3 is not as tall as the BobSweep, which means it doesn't get stuck under some tables and chairs that the BobSweep. I knew I could just let it go without having to rescue it from under a piece of furniture. I also love the fact that it empties the bin automatically when it's needed, since that was a big drawback of the other robotic vacuum I have. I would say the one drawback is that it started to eat the placemat that I have under my dog's dishes, but I should have realized that would have happened. The only other thing I dislike is that the sound when it empties the bin into the other unit is really loud. I would absolutely buy this product, although I would really love it if they included the electronic "walls" so that I can use it only in certain areas. I also like the app, so I can see where it's been, and that I can just tell Alexa to start or stop the Roomba. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family!

We've got 3 kids, a German shepherd and 2 cats... this Roomba works really well. This model is a real workhorse and gets everything picked up. The self-emptying feature seemed a bit extravagant on purchase but has been so wonderful and convenient. My only complaint is that it needs to run for a very long time (in 2-3 sessions, to recharge in between) to do our whole first floor, which isn't super small but also not really large either. So it ends up spending a lot of time running, which is kind of annoying because it's so loud and gets in the way when we're at home. If they created a silent Roomba, it would be a real Godsend. It's much too loud for me to run at night and the bin emptying noise would definitely wake everyone up. Normally I'd run this thing when we are all at work/school but with now some or all of us at home at some point or other due to the pandemic, the noise factor is more of a problem than I thought it would be. I still love it though. It keeps our floors really clean when run every other day or so.

This is our 2nd Roomba. We have the i3 with auto disposal and Mop. Love the i3. It picks up so much more than our vacuum cleaner does. It auto vacs 3 times a week and get lots of cat and dog hair. We hope it lasts as long as our last unit (5-6 yrs). No complaints except it is a little loud.

I've had issues from the start and their customer service has been horrible, if you can actually get a hold of them. Spent almost $1,000 with them when we bought a new house. The customer service kid had no answers for me, there was not a manager available, and just hung up. Numerous emails have yielded no phone call. Completely dissatisfied with the products and the joke of their "customer service". I would never buy from them again. Find a company that stands by their products and their name.

Our i3+ isn't all we had hoped it would be. We have it in our downstairs, with all wood floors. The square footage is about 800. It takes the robot an hour and 15 minutes to clean to area. It wouldn't take so long if it moved in rows as expected. But it will jump from room to room going back and forth, occasionally moving in rows. Disappointed and considering returning.

Assuming the i3 price is a more entry level price for a Roomba I would include that the overall performance of the Roomba is very good and over time the learning logic is better than expected. It doesn't appear to do as thorough a cleaning as our Ecovacs Deebot 901 but not knowing the price that may be an unfair comparison. Additionally, while the auto-emptying bin works well it seems it is louder than necessary and the inability to re-use the bags or easily see in them to retrieve a toy for example are disappointing.
