Good in some areas, woefully incomplete in many others

No wouldnt buy this again.

So disappointing. I bought this for my mom, thinking that the OG of robot vacuums would be the best for her little 1000sf house. Well it wasn't, it would map the whole house and would tell her after 2 days that it was clogged. It didn't matter where it was put in her house, it would miss whole rooms! returned it after 10 days. I guess her 1950s house was just too much for this modern devise. We went with the shark model instead (which I own) and it has had NO problems.

People complain about these being loud when they run and I really can't figure out why. It's much quieter than the average vacuum, because you're not having to stay right next to it like a normal vacuum cleaner, in fact most of the time it's in a whole other room, and especially because you have the option to run it when you're not home. So I'm unsure why that's a compliant at all. It is true that the self-emptying sounds like a jet engine taking off though. But it only lasts a few seconds.
This thing is not a top of the line roomba. It is not the highest end technology that Roomba has to offer. You can't choose what room(s) you want it to do, but that's fixable by no-go-zone strips or by closing a door. The app doesn't have the mapping feature, but this is the cheapest self-emptying roomba. What you're getting is clean floors with zero work put into it. It's not going to pay your bills or groom your dog for you. That's the s9+
