I love this vacuum cleaner and its gone beyond our exceptions. It cleans a total of 5 rooms with obstructions all over the place. It's fascinating to watch how it makes its way through chairs, under the dining table and every little corner it can gets to go. So far its done a fantastic job cleaning, considering its size being battery powered. I just didn't had to intercede even once. The 1st floor coverage is large and as I said before it has quite a few obstacles. It does take Zoomba about couple of times to charge before it can complete its cleaning all on its own. It's uncanny how life like it feels.

I have a dog who sheds profusely. When I read about the Roomba i3 associated with the fact that it is a pet hair vacuum, I knew this was a main factor in what I was looking for. There's no doubt this vacuum does just that. I'm so impressed how well this robot cleans every spec of dirt and hair from my floor. It will run its course, return to areas where it recognized to be more dirt than other areas. The self empty I'm so glad I have this... and it takes a long time before you have to replace a bag. Very compacted trash!!!

I know that these products are made to ease the task of cleaning, but it literally cut my cleaning time in half. My floor sees a lot of action due to having a little boy, two dogs, a hard working husband and a gravel driveway. I have an army of floor cleaning accessories that I used several times a day. I'd sweep first because the vacuum didn't pick up larger debris, then vacuum and then swiffer at least twice a day in heavy traffic areas. I set this up very easily and let it go. I have a mixture of hardwood, ceramic tile and vinyl flooring. It moved smoothly from one type to another and had no problem going over kitchen rugs. It picked up EVERYTHING up to the size of a Fruit Loop, which was sometimes picked up and sometimes punched aside. I highly recommend this product to cut the time of floor cleaning drastically.

Somewhat disappointed in this model. The sweeper brush stops turning when in a bind against something which is very often. We have a Model 960 & this unit doesn't compare at all to it. This unit seems very cheaply built compared to the 960. I'll be surprised if it last long. We still use the 960 at another home & it will probably outlast this model. Only plus on this one is that it empties itself.

I have two dogs and the Roomba picks up their hair with ease. It transitions from floor to our oriental rugs with ease. I would give the Roomba a 4.8 in my personal rating. The reason I give this rating is that initially the Roomba seemed a little loud on first use. However, it is definitely quieter than a regular vacuum cleaner. I hope in future models that the option of a quiet mode. An unexpected surprised was that this model detects edges and drop offs. My Roomba maneuvered around this areas and did not fall into my sunken living room. That was a nice touch IRobot. All in all a great product that has made daily cleaning routine a little easier.

The self dump feature is great to have and hopefully will continue to progress. This has issues when it comes to stairs and requires too much attention and defets the purpose of having a robot vaccum. If I need to attened to it multiple times a cleaning I may as well just vaccum myself. It cleans in nice lines but is very random where it goes and does not seem to map the areas well enough to recognize where it has gone and where it has not cleaned.

It systematically goes through the areas of the house and cleans each area. It does a good job transitioning from carpet to hardwood to tile. If you have a dog or cat that sheds a lot there might be frequent trips to the home base to empty the bin. The bin is a little small during prime shedding season for a dog who sheds a lot

1 word of Caution-if you have a pet that is nervous, maybe don't run the robot when you're not home but your pet is. If the Robot comes into contact with "Pet Waste" the warranty is voided. So my dog is nervous around the robot and I mad the mistake of going to dinner the other night and being brilliant, thought that I'd run the bot for the first time with me out of the house. A few hours later; surprise, surprise. Luckily the robot stopped functioning after what appears to have been only a few minutes. Once I got the robot and house cleaned up, I proceeded to try to revive the robot. A few minutes later the robot is working but producing a wheel error. I did not want to admit the issue, so I just purchased a new right wheel assembly online and waited for it to arrive. The wheel assembly arrived and i replaced the original wheel with the new assembly and started the robot. Do my frustration the robot gave me the same error. At this point there was nothing to do but admit what happened to the iRobot customer service folks, which I promptly did. Upon calling and conveying the "Dog Poop" incident, which thanks to the customer service representative was renamed the "Pet Waste" incident, I heard the words regarding warranty, pet waste, and void. The rep asked me to hold the line for a moment so that they could see what they could do...The complementary robot is on the way. So a couple of points: The Customer Service is top notch, not just because they went out of there way to not just stop at the standard "blah, blah, blah voids the warranty, but they were extremely professional throughout. I actually wasn't upset when we reached the point of the void conversation, which is saying something as usually I'm mad by the time I reach a live body to discuss a service matter with with most company's customer support services. The Robot does an excellent job of collecting the dog hair and any thing else that one would normally sweep or vacuum up.

There are many improvements over older versions of Roomba. As a pet owner the rubber brush was a major improvement as it does not get full of hair. My floors have never stayed so clean. The best thing is Roomba empties itself when it docks at its charging station, this process is a little loud. This robot has saved us so much time keeping our floors clean. It works well on both carpet and hard wood floors.

I wouldn't say this is life changing, but it's definitely something to write home about. This little robot has been awesome and being able to set the time it cleans helps immensely. I can choose what days and what times I want it to start cleaning, which is great for our home routine. We have a dog, 2 kids, and all have pretty long hair. Since this roomba's birthday, our house has been clean more consistently because it cleans no matter what (as long as it's not stuck, the bag isn't full, and they're isn't any clogs. It seems to pick up pretty well too, from crumbs, to the countless sequins my kids leave around the house (trying to physically pick those up off of hardwood is horrible). I've been satisfied with this little guy's performance. As for issues, I set our robot to do only one pass, but it seems insistent on cleaning our living room multiple times; especially when it wakes up from it's mid cleaning charge. It seems to forget where it cleaned sometimes, which is okay, but it's just cleaning a clean area. I'd like the ability to choose which room it cleans, as some rooms (my office) needs extra attention because that's where my dog spends most his time. Overall I've really enjoyed the ease of use, simple setup, and cleaning abilities of this robot.
