Roomba regret

Do not waste your money!

The vacuum does not clean in neat rows as advertised. It frequently cleans half of a room moves onto another and does not come back to finish the room. Many areas of my home get missed. Also when it goes back to recharge it does not go back to the area it left off when it's done. It ends up just cleaning the same area again. It constantly gets stuck on the track for my sliding glass doors. I'm talking 12 times per clean stuck. Customer service was no help other than buying the keep away stick after already spending $400 on the vacuum. Make sure you keep the box or you cannot return. I'm stuck with a vacuum that I hate! Please do not waste your money.

I am very happy with the roomba.

It has outperformed my stick vac and cherry on top is that it can be controlled remotely and requires minimal to zero work from my side. I love the self empty feature though it is quite loud. We live in a split level so the noise isn't as concerning for us. However, any time I am on the same level, it gets pretty loud. For some that may be a nuisance. I didn't have any problems with the transtions from rugs to hardwood flooring or vice versa. My kitchen has vinyl and it cleaned very well too. One feature I would like to see added to this is having it go to a specific room since it does map the area and maps it pretty well. Suction and cleaning power is good and the design is clean and user friendly. I would a 100% recommend this but I still would like to see the feature for a desired room to be cleaned to be added so thats why I gave it a 4 star rating.

I would write that the vacuum is much better than my current

I love the fact that it empties itself, finds its way back to the home base and resumes when cleaned or charged. It lacks where you can't control it from the app so it's start new or not at all, it is very loud, and one time when it got stuck and didn't finish, it never reported back what it had cleaned. [I have more in my post in the forum.]

Regret not getting the more advanced one

Easy to use and picks up a decent amount, but I regret not getting the more advanced one. This one wanders aimlessly, and can't be directed to specific areas. The corner cleaning attachment can't be turned off, so it scatters debris everywhere, including where it's already been, so then it doesn't get picked up. Would not recommend.

Highly recommend. Hooking up my second one tonight

I finally hooked this bad boy up today after staring at the box in the corner since before Christmas. Why did I wait so long?! I had a little difficulty getting the thing to start up because the cord wasn't staying in place in the back, but after I got it properly plugged in, there was nothing to it. The app is extremely user friendly. When it ran out of juice it went home and charged up. An hour or so later it started up right where it left off. Very little particulate left in hard to reach and very edges of some areas. It is very sneaky and got in every corner of my upper level. Even left the nice vacuum lines on the area rug so everyone will know "I vacuumed." No issues getting over thresholds from tile to hard wood to area rugs. I could not be happier. Only limitation is the price point. I would buy them for family, friends, and busy mom friends if I won that big lottery.

There are better vacuums for less money!!!

Can't find home base. Consistent software problems. The worst navigation I have experienced with any of my robot vacuums. Suction fan broke after only one year. Had to get the whole module just for that motor. Part is 175 $ . Ridiculous. Should not buy the whole module. Bump system does not work properly. I have some stuff on the floor like dog bad. That vacuum trying to claim on it When it should bump and go away. No.... it's just spends 30 min to go on it. Tells me that I have to clean my base station every time it goes home if it will find it. We call him Dumb dumb. Nick name fits him well. Battery. Sucks. Had 2 to replace in a 1.5 year. Has problems to charge. Wi fi issues or app issue. One word. It sucks.

This is my second Roomba

I set it to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00. He does a good job when he wants to, at least once a day, he gets lost, runs his battery down and i have to look for him, and with a dead battery , it is hard to find him. My first Roomba was smarter than this one. I gave it to my granddaughter and it is 3 years old and still working!!

Like having maid service, with no people in your house.

I was given a used base model that had a dead battery. I ordered a replacement battery and it works like new. I was so impressed by it, I went out and got the i3, self emptying model. I couldn't be happier. I had been considering maid service, to help me with dusting, floors, etc. I never liked the idea of strangers in my house though. My floors are constantly clean now, and it's a huge moral boost just knowing that the floors are taken care of.

Avoid this Model

It worked ok when we first bought it. However it does not do a good job of mapping the house and cleans the same spots over and over again. Another big issue is it's always getting itself stuck and/or lost and just stops until the battery is dead. Recently, it can never seem to connect to the wifi and doesn't ever run. We've tried doing multiple factory re-sets and all of the trouble shooting issues and nothing works. so we now basically have a very expensive paper weight that just sits around collecting dust.

Ok, I'm not lazy!

My sister called me lazy because I bought the Roomba...lol. I don't care what she calls me, I love my Roomba! At first when I got it it was taking a very long time to clean our 2400sq foot home and I would get annoyed because I wanted to watch TV and here comes to Roomba. Well ever since the mapping was introduced, problem was solved. Now I set it up to go to certain locations twice a day for about 30 minutes. The only con is the noise when it cleans the bin, it's loud, but I don't really mind too much. Now to get the Roomba mop.
