This TV is a great value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is great and the pictures are awesome. Definitely not the same thing as a normal HD flat screen TV

Annoying cracking sounds

I should have bought a higher end model. TV makes annoying crack sounds when turning it off. Samsung service exchanged all possible electronics, speaker etc. and TV continues making weird. Racking sounds. TV not recommended.

Hi Andreas, We appreciate you sharing your experience regarding an unusual sound coming from your TV. The cause may vary depending on where the sound is coming from and how your system is set up. • If the sound is coming from your TV speakers, or if you're using an external audio device like a soundbar, please double-check that the audio cable is securely connected to the correct audio output on the external device. • If you're using an antenna or cable connection, a weak signal may result in sound distortion. You can check your broadcast signal level by going to: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Broadcast Signal • If the sound seems to come from the back of the TV, it may be the result of thermal expansion or contraction of the outer casing. This can cause a soft popping noise and is considered normal - it does not indicate a malfunction, and your TV remains safe to use. We also recommend running a Sound Test to check for audio issues: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test If the issue continues or you’d like assistance, feel free to contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available from 8AM - 12AM EST, seven days a week. You can also chat with one of our agents by clicking the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor

I love my Samsung even if it's smarter than me

I wasn't sure if I would like my Samsung, but I love it. The color and picture is clear. The only problem is that the TV is smarter than me. Ha Ha I've enjoyed it very much.

Samsung is the best.

I had a Samsung Flat Screen before, and I love them. I recently purchased a little larger screen but struck with Samsung because of the quality and ease of on-screen instructions. Very well made TV.

Contrast issues

Pictures quality could be a bit better really have a hard time seeing it if filmed in a dark mode. I can’t adjust the contrast as much as needed. Also it would be helpful if it came with an actual physical manual.

Olderviewer: I’m sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the DU7200 TV’s picture quality. If the image is too dim, try adjusting Picture Mode, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings. First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings. For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic. Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings. You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. I hope this helps to improve your picture. Should you need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Great picture

I am very happy with my Samsung televisions, we have several in our home. The 2 newest TV's have the updated home which took some getting used to, but ultimately I do like it.

Poor Volume

The picture is excellent but the volume is not. At 100 the volume is like when you have a regular TV at 30. That is the only fault I found on this TV.

Hi Vivian, Thank you for sharing your experience with low volume. There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience. 1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume. 2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound. 3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode. Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again. If you need more help, Samsung is here for you!
