Good TV

I’ve been using this 55-inch TV for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The picture quality is outstanding—sharp resolution, vibrant colors, and deep contrast make both movies and sports look fantastic. The size is perfect for a living room or larger bedroom, offering an immersive viewing experience without overwhelming the space. The built-in smart features work smoothly. Apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video load quickly, and the user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. I also appreciate the voice control remote—it makes searching for shows so much easier. Sound quality is decent for a flat-screen TV, though adding a soundbar would really elevate the experience. Setup was simple and only took about 15 minutes from unboxing to watching. Overall, this TV offers great value for the price. If you're looking for a reliable 55-inch screen with modern features and a sleek design, this one is definitely worth considering.

New Choice

I was uncertain of the brand of TV to purchase. I knew the size I wanted, but with all the choices I was a bit lost. My prior TV was a Sony that I was very pleased with. I am not certain what drew me towards Samsung, but I am pleasantly surprised. Time will tell.

Remote Control Stinks

The remote control for this TV is a pin in the rear. Labeled as a "smart remote," it is anything but. Starting off with the fact that there are no numbers for channel selection, it is not easy or convenient to use. Much of the utility of this remote lies within the main wheel. This "wheel" is quite sensitive to exactly where you touch it. I DO NOT LIKE THIS REMOTE. The old Samsung remote controls were much better.

Two lines runneth through my screen

After about one week, there are two thin purple lines the go across the entire screen. One horizontal across the middle and a vertical one about a foot over from the left side. It’s too much trouble to remove from the wall bracket so I just decided to live with it. But definitely disappointed with the quality of this tv.

Gteat features

I really like this television and all its features. The picture when looking at it straight on is crisp and the colors are amazing. However, if you are in an area where you are getting a side view the picture no longer has the crispness but rather a duller hazy look. Is that a correctable thing?

Not for the older folks.

As we get older we need to add things to help us hear the TV shows better. After I made this purchase I found I need to purchase an item to help me hear the TV better. I also purchased the same item for my 65 inch tv. Everything worked well with that tv. How ever this tv lacks the ability for me to have the necessary hearing unit to connect to this tv. The optical ability is needed. I have to consider returning this unit and purchasing a unit that addresses my needs.

Extremely high value for the price!

Frankly, we were surprised at the high level of performance of this television at such a modest price point. Image is bright and tack sharp with rich colors, bright whites and absolute blacks. Sound performance is really impressive and rich coming from the internal speakers... I haven't felt the need to use any external amplifier & speaker source as of yet.

Beautiful picture!

The unit has a beautiful picture, but as far as ease of use, that's another story. I have 4 Samsung TV's and this one for some reason is very difficult to navigate. I can't add apps that I view and always have to go to search to find them, which is annoying.

Very bad glare experience

Very poor screen appearance for the money I paid for this TV. Very unhappy. There is a very obvious, blatant light bulb refection on the TV screen that is caused by a standard basic light fixture located on the ceiling nearby where the TV is set up. The light's glare on the TV screen is always present and makes for a horrible viewing pleasure. Your TV screen should have been designed much better so that it reflected.

It's okay.

We love the picture. However, after only owning this t.v. for three weeks, we already had to unplug it for a soft restart as we had no volume. Since then, we have had to unplug it almost once a week in order to watch it. The Samsung t.v. we had before this one we didn't need to unplug until years later. We laughed at a Samsung refrigerator we certainly were not going to buy because we cannot reach behind where it would be to keep unplugging it. We have Samsung phones and have enjoyed being able to connect to our t.v. Our faith in Samsung is fading.
