The basketball hoop system works great. My only annoying moment was having to file the holes a little larger to get the bolts to fit. The finish makes some of the holes impossible to fit the bolts through. After some heated moments, the rest of the assembly went fine and the kids love the hoop.

The install was very easy and it is a blast. I have some younger kids so the adjustable backboard allows everyone to make the shots. Its a blast for everyone. Very sturdy and great looking. Its a great changed from teh mobile unit that I had before. I expect we will get many years of enjoyment out of it.

I've had this hoop for about two weeks. It's very nice for the price. It does move a little if you hit the backboard hard, but that's to be expected. You would have to pay alot more for a solid hoop. The assembly takes a while, but it's fairly straight forward. The hardest part was telling the kids we have to wait 3 days for the concrete to dry. I would recommend keeping the parts in the bags and take them out as needed. I also purchased the ground sleeve so I could move it if needed. Overall, I nice hoop for the money.

You get a good system for the investment, nothing missing, nothing defective from the factory. Directions were so so at best. Use some common sense and you can overcome the weak directions. Don't forget to buy a piece or two of 4 foot rebar from your local hardware store when you pick up the concrete as you will need it.

used the install sleeve that lifetime sells with this. install went pretty smoothly, except you need to make sure you marry pipes two and three correctly as the diagram is confusing. If you do it wrong, you will have trouble getting them apart. Put this together by myself in under 2 hours. Because I preinstalled the sleeve, I also put it up by myself.

Overall, we are very pleased with this in-ground basketball backboard system. The reason that we give this four stars instead of five is because of the problems with the instructions (as discussed below). We purchased the sleeve separately and would strongly recommend doing so, but, if you do, note that the instructions that come with the sleeve differ from the instructions that come with the backboard for installing the first pipe. Follow the instructions for the sleeve. While the instructions for the sleeve (produced by the same manufacturer) were very good, the instructions for the backboard were not as good, but, rather, were confusing in some steps. For example, the instructions that we received for the backboard installation misidentified the short and the long (metal) bars that go from the back of the backboard to the pole (flip-flopping the shorter and the longer bars). If you have not put one of these together before, I would recommend that you read through the entire instructions completely before beginning installation so that you get a better sense of what the complete project entails. (I did this, but, because the instructions were not written as carefully as I thought they should have been, still had to disassemble and reassemble a few of the steps--and I have a lot of experience putting things together. Other than this, though, we are extremely happy with the system and think that, for the money, it is an exceptional value. We would purchase it again and highly recommend it.

a decent in ground system. I highly recommend getting a ground sleeve as well. it makes installation much easier. the backboard seemed a bit flimsy. However, once the system was up it held up well. the system looks cosmetically appealing. It does take a good 90 minutes at least to install. The directions are terrible. You have to improv a few things. You absolutely need 2 people at least to put together and install. I also bought a lifetime ground sleeve, which I was able to install myself. For the price you can't do much better. a overall a very good in ground system. I did a ton of research prior to buying and this seemed to be the best system in this price range.

The installation took me about 1 hour just to put the backboard together. Overall this hoop is good for the price. The height adjuster sometimes does not "stick" so you have to smack it sometimes to lock in place. It is a bit more wobbely than expected. But for my 12, 8, and 6 yr old i just wanted something adjustable for them. Good deal for price, but the wobbleness gets on my nerves.

The goal seems to be pretty good quality for the price. The directions are fairly easy to understand. It dod take about 2 hours to assemble the goal. Mixing the concrete and getting the base pole in the ground added about another hour to the process. The directions have pictures of the hardware that are actual size and and helps you match the hardware in that step to the actual hardware in the bags. In two steps - the bolts were a little short. In one we made made it work - in the other we had to go to Lowes and actually buy another bolt. The bolt was only about a dollar - but it was a hassle to have to make the trip. Still - I'd recommend it

You can not beat this backboard and rim for the price. The directions arent perfect but assembly is pretty easy. The up and down handle works really well. I used to have to use a broom handle for my last net. If you are looking for an entry level in-ground set, I would reccomend it.
