I didn't want to spend $750+ on a first time goal for my daughters, so I decided on this one. A friend of mine and I put it up today, and it took exactly 6 hours...and that included the fast set concrete setting up. Steps: 1) Dig hole 2) Pour concrete in the hole 3) Set bottom pole in the concrete and level the post...put rebar inside of pole 4) While the concrete is setting up...assemble the goal itself. There are approximately 20 steps to follow and it's awkward at times, but be patient and it's not too bad. NOTE: After about 30 minutes, go back and fill the bottom pole with concrete until it reaches the bottom of the slots at the top of the bottom pole...then continue w/ goal assembly. 5) Once the goal is completely assembled...stand it up and install it on the bottom pole. Make sure you lower the goal all the way down before doing this, and it makes it much easier to handle. Once you have the poles all tied together, take the rim and twist the goal around until the screw hole at the bottom of the middle pole, line up with the slot in the bottom pole. 7) Get on a ladder and hammer the poles together from the top. Use a small 2x4 which comes with the goal...and a 2 lb sledgehammer. 8) Install the 2 final screws which tie the middle post and bottom post together 9) Put the net and top cap on. The goal is pretty sturdy, and this is without me pouring anymore concrete down the top post...to fill the entire thing up...which some have recommended. I personally don't feel that is necessary.

a decent in ground system. I highly recommend getting a ground sleeve as well. it makes installation much easier. the backboard seemed a bit flimsy. However, once the system was up it held up well. the system looks cosmetically appealing. It does take a good 90 minutes at least to install. The directions are terrible. You have to improv a few things. You absolutely need 2 people at least to put together and install. I also bought a lifetime ground sleeve, which I was able to install myself. For the price you can't do much better. a overall a very good in ground system. I did a ton of research prior to buying and this seemed to be the best system in this price range.

Finally completed the installation this past weekend. I decided to get this in-ground goal to make the most out of my driveway recently extended into the backyard. It does take 4-6 hours to put together so be patient. It will also require 2 strong people to set in place. After struggling for an hour on step 1 I finally gave up and took a trip to a local hardware store. None of the nuts provided would screw on the bolts even half way. Spent $2 for the proper nuts and things went together relatively smoothly. The instructions are just OK. Could be better but the actual sized parts in the manual were of great help. The adjuster was a bit tricky but once we deciphered the instructions and used logic to determine the correct side of the pole in relation to the sway bars it made sense. The goal is plenty sturdy at the bottom if you follow the directions for cementing a sleeve and the bottom pole. The backboard does move a little if the ball hits it moderately hard but not more than I was expecting. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.

The instructions are sometimes challenging to follow. The most difficult part to complete was getting the lower portion of the pole set correctly in the concrete. It has a tendency to move slightly until the concrete is set so you have to check it regularly. There are a couple of steps that require the use of self tapping screws. Would have been better if the instructions had suggested predrilling a pilot hole to help get the screw started.

While this was a good price and looks to be strong, durable product, the installation instructions were bad. Beyond the first couple pictures and directions, the photos, or lack their of, things just got confusing, parts were not described properly and in many cases, their was not photo to see the proper assembly.

We’ve only had it in the ground for a week but the kids have shot on it every night. Seems pretty sturdy. Honestly this thing was a piece of cake to put in. Took me about two hours to assemble and another hour to put in ground. And I did it by myself standing in a truck bed. Backboard was a little smaller than I anticipated. I weigh 180 lbs and dunked it and the whole thing shook so I doubt I’ll be doing that again. I did put in the extra concrete in the pole up about 7 feet like the other reviews suggested, and ordered the pole pad. So for the money...I think it’s a steal. And it looks good from the curb too.

Bought this for my children , Instructions for cementing hole ans Assembly was pretty simple , Just takes time and follow the instructions . Set the concrete 5 1/2 BAgs of 80lb Cement and the other half in the pole , After 5 days I assembled the system which took about 3 Hours and set it into place , Kids Played all night , Very easy to adjust height , I also purchased the Pole Pad Which is extra to protect there heads from hitting the pole ! Excellent product

I've had this hoop for about two weeks. It's very nice for the price. It does move a little if you hit the backboard hard, but that's to be expected. You would have to pay alot more for a solid hoop. The assembly takes a while, but it's fairly straight forward. The hardest part was telling the kids we have to wait 3 days for the concrete to dry. I would recommend keeping the parts in the bags and take them out as needed. I also purchased the ground sleeve so I could move it if needed. Overall, I nice hoop for the money.

This goal is sturdy when installed properly. It does take quite a while to put together. You need two people for the last steps of the process. You might want to put a piece of rebar in the center pole when you set it in concrete. We have already enjoyed playing on the goal. It adjusts easily too.

I relied heavily on the reviews when I was shopping, so I thought I must return the favor for future shoppers. This BB system is better than I expected. You get what you pay for so I figured it would be safe to pick something in the middle. The reviews I read were fair, and I figured if something went wrong I could go to Wal-Mart and complain directly. Everything went together well. The instructions weren't the best in the world but my son and I figured it out. We followed the instructions to a "T." The only complaint I have, the pole has some movement when the ball hits the backboard. Again, kind of goes with the territory. Nothing is perfect. The adjustable height goes up and down smoothly. I was actually impressed with that. Overall, my son and I will definitely get our use out of it. Looks good in our driveway. Isn't an eyesore, which my wife was scared of. Bare in mind, when you put the poles together at the end, you will need at least 3 strong adults.
