Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us. We truly hate to hear you had to return the unit after an issue with cooling, and know how frustrating that must have been. This unit is meant to have a temperature range of 39-60˚ F. If it is not cooling sufficiently and the unit is new, it can take up to 24 hours to cool down to the normal range. For this type of issue, checking the door gasket to make sure the perimeter is fully sealed and holding in the cold can be helpful; the unit also cools best with items inside to help absorb the cold.
