We're very glad you feel this beverage center has overall been a good value for you, though do hate to hear you have some concern over the shelves not adjusting enough for your needs and the placement of the lock. We will be sure to pass on your feedback on those issues to our Beverage Center Design team, for future review. We do also hate to hear you think the drinks aren't getting quite cold enough. The average temperature for the middle of the unit is 39 degrees F to 60 degrees F. If you think the cooling may not be in that range, you can check that there is a proper seal around the door; if the gasket has gaps or damage, that can prevent proper cooling. You may also want to double check the Max temperature setting has been selected. To achieve 150 cans (from bottom shelf going up), follow this configuration: -Bottom shelf (cans upright): 6 across and 4 deep -2nd shelf: (cans laying down with top facing front) - 7 across and 3 deep -3rd shelf (cans upright) - 6 across and 6 deep -4th shelf (cans upright) - 6 across and 6 deep -Top shelf (can upright) - In the rear is 6 across and 4 deep; in the front next to the control is 4 across and 2 deep.
