[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old kitty has some upper respiratory issues. I tried several popular unscented brands and the clumping power and tracking outside the box wasn't great. Simply Unscented did have a faint scent, but overall hasn't bothered my kitty and I still get the clumping and low tracking I've always loved from Fresh Step!

Fresh Step Simply Unscented was my favorite litter til my last purchase I noticed immediately that the litter was a darker color and had a different consistency. Also, the new formula litter created a lot of dust. But the BIGGEST issue is that the litter no longer produces hard clumps. It's soft mushy clumps that don't work well in a litter robot or a regular box. Hope they change the formula back.

I only buy unscented litter as cats have a very strong sense of smell and I think scents that appeal to humans over-whelm cats. This litter is excellent at covering the smell of cat waste. Also clumps very well, easy to clean, and nice small particles make it comfy for cat paws.

So I got the Ultra Unscented and not only did they have no problems with it, I loved it. No scent from litter or cats! Will be buying!

I've tried other clumping litters and will never stray from Fresh Step again. It's by far the best and the Ultra Unscented is my personal fave. It's great because it doesn't bother my allergies because of certain ingredients. My cats seem to prefer it too. The only thing that could make it better is if the 42lb bags came in the compact packaging and were available at my local pet store.

We've been unhappy with our litter for awhile. Found this and decided to give it a try. With 5 cats, I needed something good. Out of 5 litter boxes, I put this into just one. The cats quit using the other and were only using this! They prefer no dust and no odor also!!

2 indoor cats, and I clean 2 litter boxes at least twice a day. Usually have to dump the litter in 7 days due to the super fine dust in the air. It has a lighter scent - not truly unscented. Compared to other unscented litters, there are less expensive litters with no scent, but more dust. The low dust claim lasts about 3 days. Then, dust is everywhere. Still, it's better than most I've tried. As an asthmatic, I'm questioning the cost-benefit relationship. Additionally it's very very heavy. And yes I've tried your lightweight littler too.

This is the best litter I've come across. It clumps really well, not very dusty, all 6 of my cats like it, and as long as everything is covered you can't smell a thing. I switched to Fresh Step almost a year ago now when my old litter must have had the formula changed. It stopped clumping well, especially the urine, so I was having to dump and wash out the whole litter box every few weeks from the grossness and smell. I still like to dump and clean the boxes every once in awhile but now I can go months without doing so. I work at a vet clinic and I've already gotten 2 of my coworkers to switch over to Fresh Step. I can't recommend it enough!

I've been using this litter for approx one year. It becomes rock-like and sticks to the walls and floor of the box, which makes removing the clumps very difficult and very messy. It also tracks quite a bit. The packaging is unwieldy to use. The bag has a handle on the side, but probably because of the weight, it is very hard to pour from. The opening of the bag is narrow and difficult to scoop from. I think a box to scoop from would be easier to manage than this bag.
