I too noticed the change, when I first opened box, color & texture was different in the last 3 boxes I bought. Thought it was a mistake. I have been using unscented, low dust for years as my old cat ( now deceased) sneezed with fragrance kind) I still use unscented/ low dust. BUT it now has left ALOT of dust in my laundry room where her cat box is. Only a slight fragrance. Why change it when it was working?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Ultra Unscented to get Paw Points to support my favorite cat rescue. Turned out to be a really good thing. My cats like this SO much better. I ended up changing all 4 litter boxes at once instead of 1 at a time since they were all using the box with the Ultra Unscented and not the other ones. Ultra Unscented clumps a lot better than Tidy Cats ever did. I wasn't sure how the unscented would work. It works very well. I smell the litter boxes a lot less and it doesn't have that perfume over urine/poo smell. I wish I would have switched years ago. I also like that the push tab actually works.

Been using this product the past 5 years for my little buddy and the past 3 or 4 boxes have been HORRIBLE!!! Dust everywhere and unscented my behind!! I'll definitely be looking for something different and please don't reply asking me to call that number!!! You've lost my loyalty

I normally bought Fresh Step Multi cat litter with febreeze. However I thought the smell of the litter was strong and a bit overpowering. I was so happy to find Simply Unscented. It works wonderfully to contain odor and I don't find it as dusty as what I was using. I also like how our cat's fur doesn't carry the perfume litter box smell anymore. If you are sensitive to smells, this litter is for you and your cat.

I have been using Fresh Step Simply Unscented Litter quite happily for years. But as other reviewers have stated, there has been a dramatic change in the consistency and quality of the litter. It simply cannot be attributed to the fact that "Many ingredients in our litter are from the earth and have naturally occurring color variations," as one Fresh Step response stated. It is completely different: it does not clump well; because of the size of the litter pieces, it's messy; and (frankly), it's ugly.

I guess my local store finally ran out of the old formula, because I just got my first box of the new stuff and it’s terrible. It hardly clumps, it’s dusty all over, and it tracks everywhere. “Muddy” shouldn’t ever be an adjective you can use to describe litter. Whichever executive(s) greenlit this disaster should be fired for incompetence. If you’re reading this and considering buying this product for your cat, until they fix the formula, DO NOT buy this. Find another litter, as we will now be forced to do after four years of buying this one.

I bought this to replace all of the other brands litter in my kitchen litter box which is literally where I dont want a box but given the size of my house, is just where one of the boxes must be. The other brand, I could still smell the box even with daily changes (And enough boxes throughout the house to help) . I had already changed out the box completely once with a different brand and it was bad again after a week. At least with this, I cannot smell and so far so good. Not sure how long it will last and maybe its so bad because its right in the sunniest spot of my house but hoping this will last and help!

WHEN I SAW THIS I THOUGHT, "OH, BROTHER!"... BUT WHEN I USED IT I SAID, "I DON'T BELIEVE IT, IT REALLY IS UNSCENTED AND WORKS BETTER THAN ANYTHING I'VE EVER USED!"

This is a great litter. It is totally unscented and does a great job containing litter box odor (we use an open litter box, so that's really important). I will say, sometimes the clumps disintegrate when I'm scooping, but that's the only downside. I plan to keep using this litter in the future.

I'd given up on FreshStep years ago due to the heavy scents causing respiratory issues for me and my cats. I stumbled upon this product in December and after trying a single box, I went and purchased another four to change out my other boxes. Gone is the heavily perfumed scent that clung to everything and caused sneezing. Another added benefit I've noticed is that while there is still dust associated with pouring and sifting the litter, it's less than average. Another amazing benefit, this is less than half the price of the fancy no dust litter I've been buying, which saves me almost $65 a month. Cats took to it no problem. Still gotta take that one star away though for the dust.
