It comes in 4 small bags that are easy to carry individually. It does not seem like 42 pounds. 3 bags filled a large litter box about half way and the one bag was added to a clean empty Buddha dome. I didn't like that it is a heavy cat litter. It is an extra small grade or size. Clumps good but they break apart sometimes when I am digging for them with my scooper

I used to use Tidy Cat, then they changed their formula and it no longer clumped well. After searching through all litters, including World’s Best, I decided to try Fresh Step Uncented. I never liked the Febreeze smell that got on my cats. It is now the litter I use, even though it is a little pricey. My cats like it, it clumps and covers the odor without the Febreeze smell. There is also little dust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this product for an elderly cat that needs to stay in our bedroom. Other litters had too strong a smell but Simply Unscented controls the cat odor without the typical overpowering perfume smell.

This stuff is my favorite. I purchased a very expensive self cleaning litter box which uses the crystals, long story short my cat did not enjoy it. She would use it for the first day then proceed to urinate on the carpet because her scent was there. This litter masks ALL smells. Would never purchase anything other than fresh step.

I tried several popular unscented brands and the clumping power and tracking outside the box wasn't great. Simply Unscented did have a faint scent, but overall hasn't bothered my kitty and I still get the clumping and low tracking I've always loved from Fresh Step!

I have been using Fresh Step Simply Unscented Litter quite happily for years. But as other reviewers have stated, there has been a dramatic change in the consistency and quality of the litter. It simply cannot be attributed to the fact that "Many ingredients in our litter are from the earth and have naturally occurring color variations," as one Fresh Step response stated. It is completely different: it does not clump well; because of the size of the litter pieces, it's messy; and (frankly), it's ugly.

She and my other cat loved each other, yet she was spraying like crazy (both neutered/spayed). As one last effort before having to let my landlord know I couldn't keep her, I tried this unscented litter, and it worked!!! I guess the scented litter was too much for her. Clumps perfectly and works well for my 2 cats.

Have 3 cats and have used other so called top brands in the past, this product is just what the subject line says and more. Our cats love the unscented litter and to say this litter performs is an understatement. Very easy to keep clean, no more little bits left behind when cleaning. Stays fresh forever. I just add more when needed after a few cleanings and it just keeps on doing its thing, simply amazing........

I was purchasing the litter in the yellow bag and was unhappy with its inability to cover a bad smell. This litter does the trick and I will gladly repurchase for this simple reason.
