I was very surprised that this product has a distinct scent. A yucky floral scent. It has taken me forever to use the 42 pounds, because I have had to mix it in small amounts with litter that is truly unscented, so that it did not overpower me or my cats with scent.

This litter is nice for cats that have sensitivities to scents, like my kitty with asthma. It is low dust and does clump well. It didn't do much for long term odor control and does track/stick to their paws a bit. Overall a decent litter and would consider purchasing again in the future.

I walk past the room with the litter box in it every day and no longer even noticed it! Scoping clumps is a breeze and it's relatively clean (i.e. it doesn't track).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 cats, 3 litter boxes, although they like to mostly use the. Therefore you can tell it really does the job. As soon as it is used and covered up there is no smell and because it is unscented my cats prefer it over all other types of FS and other brands.

This is the first litter I tried, and I never got another brand. It is very difficult to find unscented litter, and my cat has chronic diarrhea. My house doesn't smell like a cat box and he doesn't track much of the litter out of the box. Highly recommend!

I used to give 5 stars not anymore.. you change it.. it is darker and my cat are not liking it. I can smell it everywhere.. not a good thing!!! It’s getting clumpier too. Very sad.. Since I am very sensitive and have been getting headaches due to it!! -Bed and Jerry’s mom

Also for kitties with allergies with its ultra unscented formula. I hope you always make the unscented formula as my kitty needs it. Fresh step is the best!!

We have been using Fresh Step unscented cat litter for about a month now and are very happy. This litter is carried at all our local retailers, it’s half the price of the pet store litter we had been using and it works just as well. It forms strong clumps that are easy to scoop and does not cling to the bottom of the litter box. There is no dust when pouring and the box was easy to open and store. Overall a great value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Fresh Step Ultra Unscented cat litter especially for a kitten who was coming to visit us a couple of weeks ago. For kittens I don't want a fine grain cat litter because it gets stuck in their tiny toes, I want larger grains. This litter was perfect for my kitten guest, and it was easy to sweep up after she left.

He said it may cost a little bit more than other litters, but was worth it. He was right!! The wet litter clumps tight! It is much easier to clean because the litter doesn't fall apart when you scoop it. I have a multi-cat household and this litter helps me to keep the boxes clean and free from wet bits of litter. It seems to be a very low-dust product and is free from any scents yet contains the litter box odor very well. Great product - I will be purchasing again!
