i've been using this litter for many years and now have to find some other brand. the new formula is nothing like the old one. it caused me to have an asthma attack just pouring it into the litter box. my cats refuse to use it at all. in their 8 years of life they have never had a litter box problem with the fresh step unscented. now they won't go near the box and they have peed and pooped everywhere in the house except the litter box. i'm a senior on a limited income and am now having to spend money on trying other brands that don't aggravate my asthma and that the cats will use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used Fresh Step for my 2 cats. They favor unscented cat litter so this product is perfect for them! It doesn't track kitty litter through the house and it clumps nicely so clean-up is a breeze! Also provides great odor control.

I have used fresh step cat litter all of my adult life and I am nearly 60 years old. Recently, your product has changed It's formula. You had the best product on the market. Why change it? To save a little money? Your sales will definitely be declining. I am looking for another litter.

i would have given this litter a rating of 5 but I rated it a 4 because as much as I like this simply unscented litter ( which I have always purchased) it actually TRACKS more litter throughout the house. It gets stuck in my cat's paws and she has become a "litter bug" tracking litter throughout the house. I actually liked the original UNSCENTED litter because it was less gritty and my cat did not track it throughoout the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have allergies to fragrences, and this is the only litter I can tolerate in the Fresh Step line. However, I strongly dislike the metal foil coating on the box--it means I can't recycle the box; such a waste!

It's unscented for real, unlike others that claim to be unscented, and it still covers up the smell so well! it doesn't mask the smell with another smell like scented litters, the smell is just gone.

We started switching our cats' litter from Dr. Elsey's to Fresh Step Ultra-Unscented a month ago, after a recommendation from a trusted friend and cat rescuer. Fresh Step Ultra-Unscented has lower dust than Dr. Eley's, it covers odors very well, and costs less! We are completely sold on this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Siamese/American Curl was suffering from ears caked with dark matter. We had them cleaned a couple times and my vet said that the ear issue might be caused from allergens. I had always used scented litter but I switched to the Fresh Step unscented. Her ears have calmed considerably since she has been using the unscented. I do not know if this a total cure but we are both happier now.

I like the clumping action and this is always the brand I have used. My allergies get affected by the scented litter when I'm scooping. I somehow feel like there is still a fragrance or some type of scent to this litter although it is still clearly better than anything scented.
