I’ve been using this litter for years and the new formula is awful in every way. It smells, it creates mud balls of pee that cats step on, and I’m having a horrible allergic reaction to it. I bought another brand’s litter for the first time in over a decade and it’s so much better that I’m never going back to Fresh Step. I think just plain old sand might work better than whatever this new formula is.

With two cats in a one bedroom apartment, odor control is key. Fresh Step Ultra Unscented works wonders, keeping odors and dust at bay without the need for heavy scents or perfumes. Clumps well and doesn't track as much other brands I've used in the past. My cats and I love it!

My cats both love this litter. It is the one I normally buy as anything with a scent they refuse. Also, the scented litters give me a headache and make my throat hurt, so no wonder my cats don't like them. I am so happy for a great unscented litter that works so well. We have absolutely no urine/feces smell even near the litter box with two kitties. It works and clumps very well.

I have been using this grit for many years and was always quite happy. I recently purchased the 42lb boxed bags from BJ's and I am really disappointed. The grit barely clumps at all which results in the cat making a big mess. I didn't know I could add a photo and I just cleaned the box so no photo available at the moment. I don't know if the formula has changed or I just got a bad lot but I will be looking for another brand as I don't want to waste my money trying the same brand and getting the same results.

I am a new cat owner (after an absence of 28 years!), and I am thrilled with this litter. So easy to neaten up every morning and evening, and keeps odors at a true minimum. I am a bit of a neat freak, and this litter works meets my standards and only needs to be changed twice a week.

I have purchased almost every cat litter that there is to find one that works with a multi-cat house and one that is almost dust free,... Fresh Step Ultra Unscented is the BEST litter available! I have 4 cats and surprisingly there is no smell of litter or used litter or anything! The dust is just about non-existent as well. I no longer have that litter dust film over my furniture! My cats are much happier too! They can now breath easier!

This does have a lot of dust, but it settles very quickly, doesn't leave my cat's smelling like my MIL's 20 year old dusty potpourri and doesn't leave the bathroom stinking of urine. I used to use the Multi, but my store quit selling it a few months back. This one does the job just as well and I can find it all over town. The lightweight version also works as well if you happen to see it, but my local grocery doesn't keep it in stock regularly.

I bought this for my 4 month old kitten and he loves it! I like it even more. There is no smell (other brands cause the poop smell to waft throughout the room) and minimal tracking. It's easy to scoop and no issues at all! Clumping works like a charm. Good things all around.

We've been using original Freshstep got sometime..always satisfied ..tried the new dust free..I didn't like it...neither did our Cats...they refused to us the bod after a couple of days..thank goodness we have another with original in it...I don't blame the Cats. They have to dodge boulders and bricks made by the product...also makes no more work for me culling these rocks and bricks. No thanks...on a high note we will....continue to use original!..Tom K.
