The new simply unscented litter is terrible. It does not clump well and is very dusty when pouring it into the litter box. I have been using simply unscented for a number and am very disappointed in the new formula. I will be shopping for a new brand.

I have a sensitivity to scents, so I have to be cautious bringing anything into my home that is scented. I use this Fresh Step unscented - no perfume smells to bother my asthma, but it still masks/hides the odors that come from the cat box. We have 2 cats - we scoop the box at least once a day, and change out the litter weekly. Our home does not smell like cats, and that is a wonderful thing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bought other litter when we got our first cat but noticed she was sneezing all the time. I switched to the low dust unscented litter and the sneezing stopped! I scoop once daily and there is no odor problem at all.

The stuff used to be so good. I’ve been using it for over seven years for my cats, my house has never smelled like cat litter even in the same room as the litter buckets. But suddenly the last two cases have been a completely darker color and different consistency, they have a floral sent to them as soon as you open the bag, and my house smells like litter as soon as you walk in the door. Even the clumps are weird and soft and cemented to the little box. I don’t know what happened to this product, but it is not the same, and I am extremely unhappy.

After many years of using a competitor's product, I switched one of our eleven litter boxes to Fresh Step as a test. The results were amazing! Fresh Step had A LOT less dust which helps our cat with asthma immensely. Fresh Step also clumped much better and STAYED that way when scooping it, unlike the competitor's. The best part though was the odor control. We have 9 cats and I work very hard to make sure our home never smells like a litter box. I don't buy scented litter because I don't want our cats ingesting the scent when they clean their paws. The Fresh Step Unscented Litter controlled the litter box odor without adding scent for our cats to ingest. We are so pleased with the results of my test that we are going to be switching ALL of our litter boxes over to Fresh Step!

We started switching our cats' litter from Dr. Elsey's to Fresh Step Ultra-Unscented a month ago, after a recommendation from a trusted friend and cat rescuer. Fresh Step Ultra-Unscented has lower dust than Dr. Eley's, it covers odors very well, and costs less! We are completely sold on this product!

I've been using this litter for a few months now. It's very effective at controlling odors without any of the added perfumes or scents (Febreeze, Gain, etc). I used buy the Febreeze version of this, but my cat seems to be more accepting of the unscented, which means fewer messes to clean up.

I was buying another Fresh Step litter until they were out of it at the store and I desperately needed litter so I saw this one and it had low track littler which is the only type I'll buy. I thought it was nice that it was cleaner because it didn't have any fragrance chemicals in it. I actually like it more than the one with the fragrance. It keeps the smells of the litter box away but without the fancy smells. Definitely going to buy this one from now on!

this litter is awesome. i've tried world's best and arm and hammer clump and seal and they don't even come close to this. this absorbs odor very well. i can barely smell the litter right after my cat uses the litterbox. it is low dust. it does track a little but much less than arm and hammer. scooping is easy as it clumps very well. there are pieces that break off but less than the other brands. it is a little more pricey but you get what you pay for.
