with a strong sensitivity to smell and severe allergies - i love this litter for its odor control without any kind of fragrance.. it clumps beautifully - and has very little dust .. its one of the cheapest litters especially for the quality! plus my extremely picky cat uses it without issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using Fresh Step for over 20 years. Tried others and always come back. Works great. Presently have 2 cats with 2 boxes. Clean then 2-3x week. Have had up to 4 cats with 3 boxes and have always been happy. Box is located in basement. Have had it in small alcove off living room and smell was never an issue; moved to basement when curious dog joined the household. We use two mats and still get some liter outside the boxes and tracked about 4-5 feet away. We use unscented because of cats strong noses.

I bought this to replace the discontinued Ultra Unscented litter. Let's say the simply unscented litter is not dust free. I get dust clouds that settle on myself and on furniture near the litter box. I don't even pour the litter from a tall height either; close to the bottom of the litter box as possible! I have to either step aside for a minute or wear a mask, no really! Also, the litter is not unscented. It has a light perfume smell that I smell on my clothes after every time I scoop her litter and on my cat. I know every time she uses the litter. Not great for someone with scent sensitivities and allergies, and not to mention the poor cat covered in perfume! The discontinued ultra unscented litter did everything it promised, low dust and truly unscented. Please bring this version back!

I'm the proud guardian of two precious babies! They just past two years old and they are brother and sister. I really love this product as it keeps the waste scent well controlled and the low dust factor is amazing! They are indoor only babies so all of their "business" is done indoors. I have had several friends comment that they would never have known I had kitties had they not seen them! Such a lovely compliment and your product makes that possible! Thank you so very much for offering a product that works for all of us! I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone inquiring about what to use and what works really well!

We also have multiple foster kitties at a time and this is still the only littler we use. Very very low dust and your kitty doesn’t smell like a weird floral scent if your extra sensitive to smells like I am.

I and one that prefers my litter unscented, and this really fits the bill. It seems to have the same amount of dust as the others, but I have found a way to minimize the dust in the house. I go outside and pour it into a one gallon bucket. I hold the box up about a foot from the bucket, and I let the wind blow most of the "dust" away as it is being poured. I can also say that if you scoop your box at least once a day, the odor control lasts a lot longer than 10 days! This stuff is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that it really doesn't have any smell. It also does a really good job of covering the kitty smell. Pretty much dustless, (no litter is totally) and the normal amount of tracking. Don't think that's something that can be avoided either. I have a two foot barrier on the doorway where their box is and when they jump over it, most of the litter says there. Also clumps very well.

LOVE that Fresh Step comes in UNSCENTED, Ultra in the 42 lb bag!--Unscented is much healthier for cats and humans, who shouldn't breathe-in unnecessary, artificial scents; LOVE that it's low dust formula too! Clumps very well for this happy Cat Mom!

My girlfriend has sensory sensitivities so this unscented litter is amazing!! For me, I'm all about the low dust formula, the awesome clumping ability and the addition of the activated charcoal that helps eliminate all odors. We truly love this litter!!
