I switched from the Fresh Step with Febreeze and I am glad I did! My cats were developing allergies and I think it was from the Febreeze scent. I was tired of smelling like kitty litter when they would love on me and leave. I really like the unscented litter!

It could perfectly and doesn't stick to the bottom of the litter box. That is, if you have a genuine digger. Holds back any scent for days and my cats seem to like it. I've tried other brands and they didn't hold a 'stink' to Fresh Step. 100% recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For years I thought scented litter was the way to go to keep my house fresh from cat litter box odor....but last year, after trying Fresh Step Simply Unscented Litter, I'll never go back to scented litter again. This product is the best I've ever used for my cat's litter box. Superior clumping and no odor! Ever!! I've recommended this product to friends, family and even strangers in the pet aisle at the supermarket!

Don't be misled by the name. Unscented doesn't mean it doesn't work at keeping down odors because it does. This is just one of the Fresh Step Litters I purchase regularly. I do buy what I can find. I like that this one is unscented and evidently so does our three cats. As with the other Fresh Step products, my cats and I love it. There's less tracking, more clumping and less odor using this one even though it is unscented. I wasn't disappointed. I shall buy again and have no hesitation recommending it to other cat owners. Great product for cat owners!

It does control the smell and my cat doesn’t have any problem using Fresh Step Litter. Plus, it was very affordable for such a great product. Highly recommend this product !

I have used this product for years. It was great. I get the 4 10 pound bags monthly from PetSmart. The litter formula has obviously changed. It is dark grey instead of a light and dark mixture. It no longer clumps well and is a disgusting mess to scoop. It is like pouring dirt into the litter pan. At first I thought it was just a bad batch but when my second shipment came it was more dark grey dirt. I have cancelled my auto ship and will have to find another brand. What a disappointment. I have used this for years and you have ruined what was a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have allergies to fragrences, and this is the only litter I can tolerate in the Fresh Step line. However, I strongly dislike the metal foil coating on the box--it means I can't recycle the box; such a waste!

I've used this brand and product for years (10+ years) and recommended it to new cat parents, but something has changed in the formula. Its now no longer free from fragrance, the product is scented and has a strong scent. The formula has definitely changed and is now unusable. Its not what it says on the box, find another brand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried other clumping litters and find that Fresh Step works the best. And now that it has low dust, it is even better. I wish they would stop making scented litters. Studies show cats do NOT like scented litter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Freshstep is my favorite litter. Always clumps well, better than any others I've tried. Hoped this was less smelly than others but still has strong smell. Not that unpleasant but can always tell when Toby walks in room where he just came from.
