I have 10 cats so litter is important in my home. My neighbors r not as cautious as I would like them to be when it comes to their felines. I absolutely am a cat mom. I don't let my felines troll the neighborhood. Not in daylight or night time. My husband has modified our home more than once 2 accommodate the cats that choose 2 move in. They're always feral & sometimes they come w/a few babies. I only use Fresh Step.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that Fresh Step Litter has numerous scented and weight options for their litter compared to other litter brands. I like that there are Febreeze and lightweight options and you can buy for a multi-cat home. I took in several small kittens and the mother cat to have them fixed, but I am the owner of several cats. I did not have the heart to give away the cats and clean my house daily and the litter boxes. I think that better cat litter brands such as Fresh Step make owning more than one cat feasible. I like the options.

Fresh Step clumping litter without scent clumps easily and controls odors very well. With the added scent of Febreze, this litter makes odors even more effectively. The large 44lb pack comes in four smaller bags for the actual litter, which makes dumping the litter into your litter box much easier than lifting a 44lb package up altogether. Highly recommended!

I like it because of the clean fresh smell, so does my family, and the cats love it too. Cats can be picky about litter but the go right to this one with no problem. My house stays clean and fresh smelling. Thank you Fresh Step :)

This is by far my favorite. It has all the features you want, and its the biggest bag there is for those multi-cat houses. While the packaging isn't my favorite, its worth dealing with in for the amount of litter and the fact that it clumps, has a pleasant smell and is fine for little kitty cat paws.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does what it says eliminates odors. I have used fresh step ever since I have had my cat and I have never had any issues with smells. I have went over to my brother in law's house and he uses tidy cats clumping cat litter and it still smells really bad even though the litter box is cleaned and it has been hours since that cat last went to the bathroom. I recommended he use fresh step clumping cat litter. I would recommend it to anyone who does not like a smelly home.

I have tried pretty much all the Fresh Step litters at this point and this one is the best one I've come across. It clumps. You'd think all Fresh Step litters would clump the same, but you'd be wrong and disappointed. This one clumps extremely well (as does the Triple Action). It's strong clumps that won't break up while you're scooping or transferring the waste to a bucket. Low Dust. Before this one, I was a huge fan of Triple Action, but the Total Control has noticeably less dust. I can pour litter and not feel like I'm getting a cloud of dust in my face. There's still dust, but it's far less annoying and noticeable. Febreze balanced. Some of the Febreze ones can be overpowering, but this one is just right. It's enough that it masks odors well, but not too overpowering that it makes you sick. I honestly don't even notice it. It wasn't until I used Triple Action again that I noticed how nice the Febreze scent was over the natural odor of the Triple Action litter, which I then found overpowering, especially when I poured litter. The Total Control is a nice balance of just enough that it works, but not too much that it becomes something that you actively notice. Plastic Bag Zipped Hero. I actually love the new design of the plastic zipped locked bags of the 42 lb litters over the old cardboard box. I was skeptical at first, but quickly fell in love with the design. The cardboard was such a pain because the little cardboard flap never stayed open while pouring so you had to stick you're fingers in to push back the flap and litter seemed to always get stuck in the flap when you closed it and then fall to the floor whenever you carried the box. You always had to pour the litter over an open litter box, as well. Now, I use an old cup that I keep in the litter bag to scoop fresh litter out when needed and it's far easier. There's no picking up a heavy box and pouring litter with dust getting everywhere in the process. I significantly cut down on dust when I simply scoop out the litter instead of pouring it. This method also works fantastic for litter boxes that you can scoop without removing the lid. Since I don't pour litter boxes anymore I never have to open the lid, I just scoop litter into the wide opening with a cup or scoop litter into an empty coffee container and pour it into the opening. I don't drag the litter everywhere over the house anymore, either. I keep it in the closet and scoop out litter into an empty coffee container and transport that to each litter box (one down, one upstairs) to avoid dragging a heavy litter bag everywhere. It's simple, but so much easier. Overall, I'm very happy with this litter. It's my go-to litter and I hope they never get rid of it or change the formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats love fresh step. Both of my cats has allergies to dust in cat litter. fresh step is the only kind i can use for them. they always want to use the litterbox and get excited when i change it which is about every 3 weeks.

With 6 cats, I would know if the litter wasn't working. In a nutshell, this stuff works, & works well. Having tried virtually every litter out there, I can honestly say this product performs better than any, & that includes the more expensive brands. Realizing one can go "nose blind," I have asked visitors to honestly state if they could smell any sign of cat boxes, & the unanimous answer is "no."

The scent was pleasant but not over powering, and it really seemed to do its job at clumping and not sticking to my cats paws.
