I have multiple cats. Over 20 to give you a perspective. I have tried many different brands of litter, and Fresh Step is by far the best! It covers oder and doesn't leave behind much particles of feces behind. In other words, it clumps up and holds together very well. I can't say enough on how satisfied I am with this product.

The testimonial was when my niece came to visit. The litter boxes are located near the back door where she came into the house. I have a new kitty that was used to clumping litter at the breeder. I had always used the regular Fresh Step through all previous cats. I knew the Fresh step quality, so I bought this clumping one for the new baby. It is awesome! Great smell, low dust, super good clumps and easy scooping. Kitty and I are both happy!

I have been using this brand for several years and was very satisfied, didn't even mind paying more than other brands. But now the "new & improved less dust" formula is a total bust. My opinion is the "less dust" marketing ploy was to cover the fact they wanted to cut their costs, providing an inferior product and still charge even more than before. It is NOT less dusty, not that there was ever a problem, the litter is so course that it barely sifts through the sifter, is much messier and, worst of all, has barely any clumping effect of the kitty urine. "Total Control"? Of what? The one star is for the pleasant scent. At least they kept that. I will be shopping for a different brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time I've used Fresh Step litter in a few years. For the most part, I am satisfied, I think we may just need to try another one of the many varieties to find what works best for us and our kitties!

I picked this up in-store on a whim, because I was unable to find my normal unscented brand. Within 2 weeks, 3 of my 11 cats had uti's and were urinating blood. All were perfectly healthy, no previous urinary issues. Five hundred dollars later, an expensive lesson learned. Please beware of any litter that uses heavy perfumes.

We've been using Freshstep for about 2yrs. This litter clumps very well, it makes hard balls that almost never break. It is very very low dust, almost none at all. I also love how their packaged in 4, 11lb bags it makes it super easy to pour and carry. It has amazingly great odor control, but it does have a very heavy and overwhelming scent. It is overall a very good litter. We love the Freshstep company, they are a wonderful company that helps animal shelters and we love supporting them.

With this 'Total Control' Freshstep I am now in TOTAL CONTROL of how my house smells once again. It's great on clumping & it doesn't stick to their paws as much as other litters I've tried. I had to change the cat litter we used to Fresh Step. Dumped out all the old clumping litter and filled up with new Fresh Step. No more horrible congestion and allergies. We have 6 cat boxes. Fresh Step was recommended by a family member. We will be using Fresh Step exclusively from now on.
