While I am not crazy about the Febreeze scent, this litter clumps tight and quickly and I can not smell cat urine with this product. Other litters I have tried allow the smell of urine to invade the area. I clean the cat box twice per day but still can smell the urine. With this product never a smell. The cats like it and I love the no stink.

I have 4 cats - a mother & 3 kittens. I use the Total Control Clumping Cat Litter and it works like a charm. There is absolutely no dust, the clumping action is excellent and odor is controlled for days longer than any other brand I have tried. Thank you, Fresh Step!

Tried 2 other brands when i took home my adopted cat and both didn't clump well and still had that cat smell. I have super sensitive nose and will smell any whiff of odor and would probably have the cat adopted back if i didn't find this wonderful 42 lb fresh step litter that clumps well and kills any smell! This is one-of-a-febreeze kind! Thank you!

This litter is great for it's price. It's great for odor control, but when it comes to forming clumps, it's bad at urine cakes. When urine gets stuck in the back or sides of the litter box, the litter does an o-kay job to form it into clumps. Often times the urine cakes fall apart or aren't dry and are still damp.

This litter is very heavy when scooping, not great at clumping. The febreze smell doesn't last, after 1 use its gone. When cats use litter the smell lingers and its not fresh. Better off buying the Purina light weight, smells great, clumps and not heavy to scoop at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Granddaughter has litter box in her room for the cats during bedtime. There was a time I would open the door in the morning and all I could smell was the cat litter. NOT ANYMORE! This is really a great product- no litter smell.

I have 10 cats so litter is important in my home. My neighbors r not as cautious as I would like them to be when it comes to their felines. I absolutely am a cat mom. I don't let my felines troll the neighborhood. Not in daylight or night time. My husband has modified our home more than once 2 accommodate the cats that choose 2 move in. They're always feral & sometimes they come w/a few babies. I only use Fresh Step.

I grew up with cats and my mom always used Tidewater litter, so naturally, I have used it for more than 20 years in my house too. A month or so back, I went to Sam's for my "regular" purchases and they were out of TC. Like when the toilet paper shortage happened, I reasoned that I could use Fresh Step 'for now'. I am so glad that I did. Fresh Step is such a better clumping litter!! TC clumping would still allow urine to seep through to the bottom of the pan leaving a nasty, wet-cement issue on the bottom that I would have to scrape and it still wouldn't come completely clean. Fresh Step literally catches all of the urine in a clumpy ball that is easily removed from the box. I will never switch back, even in a shortage. I will stock up due to low Sam's prices so that I have a month supply. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

This is my favorite Fresh Step Litter product right now. Perfect for five cats! Locks in the odor and seals it up with Febreze. You never have to worry it when you are short on time with Total Control. Keeps litter fresh for hours. Happy cats! Happy mom!
