With quite a few problem areas of all sorts (shade, hill side, etc.) Scotts EZ Seed has managed to grow grass where other products have failed miserably. Of course, I had to prep the area first and then maintain it with water especially but your product made the problem spots in my lawn turn a luscious green. Thank you!

I used this on my hard to grow lawn which i have full sun it worked fast the grass was thick and and healthy my neighbors were amazed at how fast it grew. recommended to a coworker who tried it and called to thank me because her lawn turned out beautiful.

We no longer allow our dogs to be in the front yard for very long, because I want my lawn to look great for the neighborhood. This product was easy to apply, and has lasted for a year now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A Beta site was selected, and the ground was prepared. the sample 'EZ-SEED was applied. Unfortunately, the late spring rains came and washed the sample away. so I waited for more favorable conditions. Again the site was prepared, and the sample was reapplied. this time, Nature cooperated and the beta site reacted as was expected. I found it necessary to reapply the sample in order to increase the site's density. So i gently prepared and reapplied more sample to the site and again the product took root and filled in the site to an even more dense new grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My personal experience with Scott EZ Seed was amazing..I recently was going on vacation for 10 day and I looked at the forecast which called for Temps in the mid 70's and occasionaL rain so I thought what the heck I'll try it . I prepare the spots on my blvd( which i'v had terrible luck growing grass in the past) I figured it would take care of it self Hopefully with the proper amount of rain. When I returned WALLAH!! the grass was about 2 inched high and all the bare spots were filled in! Very Happy usually when I plant grass I'm checking it everyday..Now I figure let it do its job and watch the watering!

Had approx 1/4 acre hyrdoseeded, the other (approx) 1/4 acre was done with this "EZ seed"- (One part of the yard was ready before the other part- but both were prepped with the same soil- I didn't do this as a test- it was due to timing and not being able to get the hydroseeding company back). Hydro seeding grew in with a nice lawn- thick and weed free- It didn't grow as quickly as the ez seed but grew in weed free. The ez seed was 'planted' as per instructions on the bag. It did grow rapidy, but it's almost entirely weeds. Some of them 3 or 4 inches high, others are almost 20 inches high (in areas where the soil is still too soft on which to walk to get to them to pull them out). It's green, but it's all (MOSTLY all) weeds (I'm not a botanist or a scientist but I've lived with sawgrass, bluegrass, crabgrass, fescue, and lots of things that look and feel like grass- but this stuff doesn't look like grass). I see a patch here or there that is not full of weeds, but it's almost entirely weeds. The worst part is that the hydroseeding was CHEAPER than this seed was. So sad, now what do I do? Have to go spend another few hundred dollars on weed and feed or start over? Hire a lawn care company? Would not recommend this if you live in upstate NY where you don't have to water too much (rains alot) and the weeds like to grow? What do I even say here? Was looking on the site for a solution or to see what I did wrong- saw the place for reviews- so I'm reviewing. Just did the 'preview' and saw there is a place for pics but don't have any at 9:35 pm- I'll see if it's possible to attach some in the am. Aggghhh!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use since it combines seed and mulch. Make sure that the air temperature is between 60-80 degrees. First loosen hardened soil and rake. Continue to water until firmly established. Best if you add a little good topsoil to area before sowing seed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used it for larger and small areas. I really like how it fills the small areas. Larger areas I think I'd prefer regular seed, but still works quickly. I just put it down the day before vacation, came back 6 days later and it started filling in well.
