My old (not Samsung) quit after nearly three years of use, so the Class-5 appeared to be just what I needed for my den. I connected it to my x-box1, my tower PC used for storage and flight simulator, and to my wi-fi! The features are outstanding. Movie channels, live TV, etc. Functions perfectly with excellent color.

This is your best choice for a cheaper 1080p TV. We use it in the bedroom. It has all Smart TV features and a great sound. But remote control is just horrible, too many buttons and scrolling controls are impossible to find without looking at the remote. Truly great TV otherwise. I tried other cheaper TVs and they were terrible. Spend a few extra dollars and get this one.

I like Samsung tv’s. I have 2 others in the house. When 1st ordered they were out of stock. 2weeks went by. They had some. Ordered none, and worked ok for about a week. Then I got a light bar on the very top center of the screen. About 8” long by 1/4” thick. Going to call for a replacement.

We love Samsung TVs in general but purchased this one for our bedroom after college kid took older Samsung to her apartment. Then we bought a second one as a gift for mother in law. Big beautiful picture. Easy working features. Highly recommend it. No cons that I can think of but we just watch basic things no video gaming so can’t give a review as to that. Just a nice tv for the price and perfect size for bedroom or small tv room. I may add a sound bar just for fun by Samsung of course because they pair nicely together when by the same company. Perfect bedroom TV. Beautiful picture. Lightweight and easy to move around if needed. I have owned this TV for a year now and couldn't be happier about the purchase. I would recommend this for anyone who is considering it. I was reading some of the "complaints" about this TV and they were laughable. The remote is not really "complicated" but it is "sophisticated", the buttons are hard for me to read but it's not their fault that I'm old and blind. They did however use a braille type system to make it easier. Another idiot posted how the Smart app or whatever invaded his privacy by giving up his location and other information. The TV does not require the use of this app to function and the fact that it works off a "Smart Phone" makes his entire review hilarious. Worrying about the privacy of an app that goes on a device that knows your location at all times and can randomly take pictures, videos and eaves drop on your conversations is simply ludicrous. Great TV!

I purchased this size tv because it was the right size for my medal shelving. However, I've noticed that it is hard to turn on; even when I try using different remotes and/or holding down the power button till it turns on. I've also tried unplugging the tv and re-plugging which doesn't always help. Otherwise, the picture quality and audio quality are great.

Very good price for a mid-level 40" Smart TV. There have been many improvements since the 5-Series was first introduced but they come at a much higher price. This is a very good quality TV. I like Samsung TVs. I shopped around for a long time before I bought a Samsung 50" Smart TV for my living room. I am very happy with it. When I found this 40" TV for such a good price, I bought it for my bedroom.

Very easy to set up. TV provides step by step instructions. We purchased a new TV a year ago and had no idea how to set it up. We had to get help to come in and set TV up. This TV, the Samsun 40, was a piece of cake to set up. Highly recommended.

Purchased this Samsung TV Sept 23, 2023 and immediately took it out of an opened box and programed it. Screen was defective, had a very bright white sliver of light running along the bottom. Started the process of returning it. Shipped it out the very next day and Walmart received it back in Las Vegas 3 days later. They have had it ever since and we are stuck with no TV. How long does it take to ship out a NEW, UNOPENED TV?

TV works well but to use any other features like their Smart Things app, you have to agree to a (LACK) of privacy policy that gives Samsung and all of their affiliated entities permission to track just about every about you, what you watch, whats connected, where you livE, even the location and size of your house! There are no opt outs for any of the individual lack of privacy provisions In their agreement, you HAVE to agree to in total to use the app. Very clever Samsung but no thanks.
