I like this TV. I bought it because my Mom's old Sony Trinitron was getting weak in picture quality, and her eyes are getting worse. I was going to go with a 50", but I'm glad I didn't.She needs TV viewing glasses to see it, and this is about the biggest size that works. We aren't using the Smeart aspects (yet), but the set up was easy. Like all Samsungs, the color is EXCELLENT, and can be tweaked to personal preference. Same for the sound. The setup menus can be a bit confusing, but then, so can Windows 10. Just have some patience, and you'll figure it out. It works with the Comcast remote, and once added it provides seamless operation. Sound is good, and she can hear it even though she can't hear me talk to her. That says something. All in all, so far, it has been a pleasant experience. Since right now we are on cable only, I can say for this use this was a good choice. If you have a small room, like hers, this is a good choice. I think I'm going to buy one for my office, and another for her bedroom, because they are the right size for the right price. Four stars ONLY because the menus can be confusing. Just be patient. You'll find what you want.

the tv has a good picture, however, when i first got it i had a hard time getting it to connect to wifi. the funny thing is i have a samsung dvd player sitting right in front of the tv which connects to wifi first time, every time. i learned if i push the start button to the tv down long enough for it to cycle back to samsung tv, it connects to the internet. now that i know this it is no problem for me, however, if ever someone uses my tv, i will have to tell them to hold down the start button. other than that, the picture is good, and the sound is actually "half-way decent" for a tv.

Should have done more research and read more reviews. Trusted Samsung to provide the best features and quality but have been disappointed more than once over ease of use, and just really annoying little things. Have had several issues with remote turning power on. Once the TV is on, all buttons work fine. Trying to turn TV off is another tricky and annoying situation. I'm very disappointed with Samsung because I've always recommend & trusted their reputation. But after reading other customers reviews I guess it has a reputation of disappointing a lot more people than I thought. I would have felt much better if everyone else thought it was amazing and wonderful but many people are extremely unhappy with a wide variety of problems.

I bought this TV a month ago and I tell you that I am beyond pleased with it. The color, the clarity, and the pixels are amazing! Samsung Smart TV has thousands and thousands of channels and free apps. From movies and TV shows, as far back as over 60 years old, to current, it is unbelievable! You can even connect the television with your mobile device, on the go. You can even maneuver through your cell phone. It's really smart. I didn't have to get cable, just Internet. Meaning, I'm saving a ton of money. I'm planning on purchasing another one of these within the next 3 weeks. This product is underrated and well worth the money! i would not have written a review, but for the email from samsung requesting my feedback. so, my wife and i purchased this for a yoga room and only used it to connect to youtube via our wifi network. she had to regularly reset the tv to get the wifi back. she then looked online and saw all the reviews of others having the same wifi issues. we elected to purchase a new non-samsung tv for the yoga room and use this somewhere a wifi signal is not required.

worst tv ever. sensor for the remote did not work well at all. it took being in a specific position to get the remote to work. then it just stopped working altogether. then my firestick stopped working in the tv and it refused to stay on my wifi. i’ve had the tv for almost two years and i’m finally happy that i’m replacing it.

i love the picture and the features, sound could be better. ive had this tv for about two weeks, had two problems, working okay now. shortly after i received it, the sound went out. itried everything with no luch. i was about ready to return it when my daughter suggested unplugging it. fixed the problem. shortly after that, wifi went out and would not reconnect. after trying everything, tried unplugging. fixed the problem. no further problems for over a week. i have my fingers crossed because because i really like it and 40” tv’s are becoming hard to find.

the ease of setting up this tv is difficult. why would you set the default to turn tv off after a couple hours??? and i dont see how to fix it.. i dont care for a blasted womans voice rattling off every time i change apps or turn tv on. dont know how to turn it off. i”m usually fairly electronic savy but this is not easy. if it wasnt such a pain, i’d return it to the store..

It's worth the price. However, it's not really user friendly. I had to read the manual to understand how to get to the sleep function and still unsure on other things I believe the remote may be able to do. I had to call support for the update because it would not function with out the update six months after purchase. I am please with the picture quality but you have to almost be a techy to use it. I can say the it's smarter than me apparently.

my tv set does not stay connected to the network. when i turn the tv on, i get a network error message that my tv is not connected to wifi. the instruction on screen says to either unplug the router or the tv. the first time it happened and did as instructed, but then the same thing happened. it happens each time i turn the tv back on. all other equipment connected wirelessly to the same network (another samsung tv included) stay connected without any need to unplug them or resetting the router. when i turn them on. i am so frustrated with this tv set that i am returning it back to the store.
