I convinced my next door neighbors into upgrading their old 36" Sony tube TV for this new Samsung 40" flat screen. And honestly anything would have been an upgrade and I wasn't expecting a whole lot for the money that was spent on it. So I get it all set up and much to my surprise, I think the picture quality may have my brand new 49" LG beat that cost 2-1/2 times more than what was spent on this Samsung. They are blown away with their new TV and I'm real happy for them. :)

Was looking for a great tv that’s a good size that was a smart tv at a great price and came across this tv because the price was right and it seemed to be a good fit for my bedroom , this tv works awesome with great picture and sound with the addition of it being a smart tv and with the apps it takes it a step above , and also it was an awesome fit for the bedroom which I wall mounted it so it doesn’t take up much space as well , I’m really pleased with the purchase of this tv all around and would recommend this tv to family and friends in the market for a tv.

tv is oddly difficult to turn on and off as it constantly fails to find the wifi signal (although wifi works for all other devices in my home). this alone has made it an expensive paperweight. i am constantly trying and failing to troubleshoot based on the screen prompts. in addition, for some reason this samsung product doesnt support hulu. strange oversight.

samsung comes through with true quality and performance. pleased with the purchase as this fit the bill for my viewing needs in my bedroom. i would give 5 stars but deducted because the remote is not as intuitive as i thought it would be. it takes some getting used to - but it could be better!

Bought this tv two months ago. I put two apps on it. It takes 5-6 clicks of the remote to get to where I want to be. Quite the path I have to remember. There is pixelation and words spoken do not match mouth movements. Working on that fix. Whether or not it’s the tv’s fault, don’t care, it’s happening on it.

why on earth is the sleep timer buried so deep i. the system? maybe make an extra, seaprate button on the remote dedicated to sleep timer. please and thank you. also, volume/sound seems to vary depending on which channel or streaming service im using.

wow, i am at the age i realized the tv is smart and i am not. however, the setup was quick and smooth. the picture is super. there's so much content loaded on this tv i will never use it all. the only thing i might criticize is that i increased the text size as large as it will go, and it is still difficult to see from more than 8' or so away and the remote is not backlit. that is a big one. i had read that in other reviews and it's very true.

We love the TV and the excellent support but are so disappointed it does not have a microphone. We have a disabled adult son who is not able to be independent when using the TV because it’s missing the microphone capability. Who makes TV’s without microphones these days?

This is my second 40" Samsung television. This model is a newer version by three years. The picture quality seems greatly enhanced but that may be partly due to the fact that I also had the new Dish Hopper system installed at the same time. All of my TV's now have enhanced reception because of the HDMI cables that replaced the traditional coax cables. Overall, this is a great TV and I recommend it. Walmart did a fine job of delivering it right to my door.

the ease of setting up this tv is difficult. why would you set the default to turn tv off after a couple hours??? and i dont see how to fix it.. i dont care for a blasted womans voice rattling off every time i change apps or turn tv on. dont know how to turn it off. i”m usually fairly electronic savy but this is not easy. if it wasnt such a pain, i’d return it to the store..
