Not what I expected

i purchase the samsung tv because it was the only smart tv that i can download spectrum. this tv was free from my employer. otherwise i would not have purchased it. i have another samsung tv which i'm not happy with it's a 4k. it takes quite some time when i turned it on for me to view my spectrum tv because it continues to disconnect from the 4k tv. not a fan of samsung. if it wasn't for the free tv i would not have got another one

Perfect when it works...

The picture is great the volume is good all yhays great. The issue i have is that tv freezes. A LOT. And when it does the only way to make anything happen is to unplug it. The remote won't power it off. I only find 1 button on the back of it. It's mounted on the wall so I can't see the top of it, but I can't find power or volume buttons. God forbid I cant find the remote. If it wasn't mounted I'd return it. I didnt think a digital TV would be such a problem because of the amount of tech we use already. It seems to like Netflix most. Other apps don't work near as long. it also responds slowly when buttons are pressed on the remote. Of course if you press again thinking you dodnt press hard enough, you over shoot every time. I wouldn't recommend this item.

Minor Changes Can Make A Good Set

Significant Features missing include: (1) Outlets: To an entertainment centre for sound, an earphone or headset plug for private viewing and the like, (2) a 3rd HDMI to allow a competitive streaming service or other services enter the system , (3) Place the USB plug outside the HDMI set for easier connection to notebooks, etc. (4) the remote: square the back for better one-handed operation (it rolls before depressing the buttons) and larger main buttons (arrows and ok mainly). Overall still a great set and good value for the money.

HIghlights completely washed out

unfortunately i had to keep this tv since only a 40" would fit into my space just above a refrigerator. would not buy hisense or tcl(only other 40" tvs) as i don't know reliability of those brands. every highlight is blow out. i tried to adjust with the many settings but none worked well. viewing from a side angle is horrible. if you can fit a 43" then buy the samsung since its 4k.

For a few bucks more than others, a decent choice.

I like this TV. I bought it because my Mom's old Sony Trinitron was getting weak in picture quality, and her eyes are getting worse. I was going to go with a 50", but I'm glad I didn't.She needs TV viewing glasses to see it, and this is about the biggest size that works. We aren't using the Smeart aspects (yet), but the set up was easy. Like all Samsungs, the color is EXCELLENT, and can be tweaked to personal preference. Same for the sound. The setup menus can be a bit confusing, but then, so can Windows 10. Just have some patience, and you'll figure it out. It works with the Comcast remote, and once added it provides seamless operation. Sound is good, and she can hear it even though she can't hear me talk to her. That says something. All in all, so far, it has been a pleasant experience. Since right now we are on cable only, I can say for this use this was a good choice. If you have a small room, like hers, this is a good choice. I think I'm going to buy one for my office, and another for her bedroom, because they are the right size for the right price. Four stars ONLY because the menus can be confusing. Just be patient. You'll find what you want.

Smart tv capabilities

it was important that i bought a tv that was made by a company with a good reputation. i need a smart tv to sign into hulu, prime video, netfix and many others. unfortunately, i am limited. this tv does not allow me to sign into hulu and some other important apps. i had the geek squad attempt also, this tv doesnt have the capability to do so. i have had to buy a roku to access these apps. i am not happy about that situation.

Better than expected

We needed a new TV for our bedroom and after checking reviews for multiple brands and models, we chose the 40” Samsung N5200. The set up was very easy, especially if you download the SmartThings app. The TV does most of the set automatically and requires very little input. We are especially pleased with how easy this TV is to use, finding apps, down loading them and putting them in whatever order you want is a breeze. The picture is very clean and sharp and we love the auto dimming since it’s in our bedroom. We also love the auto turn off feature so we don’t have to set the sleep timer every night, the TV automatically does it every night at the time we choose. We were so happy with this TV, we returned to the store and bought a 55” UHD Samsung for our family room and love it so far as well.

SAMSUNG IS NOT THE QUALITY THAT IT USED TO BE

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD! I SET UP THIS TV BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX AND WATCHED 4 HOURS OF TELEVISION. THE SCREEN FLICKERED AND THE TV SHUT OFF. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, THE LOGO CAME UP AND A GREEN HORIZONTAL LINE STREAMS ACROSS THE SCREEN AS IF THE TV IS TRYING TO REFRESH ITSELF. THEN IT STOPS AND SHOWS A USB DRIVE ICON AND THAT'S IT. I'VE TRIED TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE UPDATE TO NO AVAIL. I PURCHASED A NEW FLASH DRIVE AND DOWNLOADED/UNZIPPED THE UPDATE SOFTWARE TO IT AND STILL NOTHING. LET'S SEE IF I GET ANY RESOLUTION FROM SAMSUNG SUPPORT SINCE MY NEW TV IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.

Great TV for the price!

This TV is amazing! I bought it to upgrade our 8 yr old Samsung 32" TV, and you can't beat the price! We tried three other TV's under $200 and the picture always looked pixelated...this picture is so clear! If you want ultra high definition TV, you have to spend more...but for a crystal clear, vivid, picture, this is an incredible deal! And to make it better, you get almost a thousand Sumsung TV channels for no extra cost....I would highly recommend this TV!

Tuner glitch

With smart hub tv plus I only get every 5 channels. Not only is that odd but after an hour on the phone with Samsung support it’s determined everything was tried and there is no fix. The large Samsung in the other room works fine, I get all smarthub channels.
